  1. It could just be that they think something is probably imminent before the end of the AS break and want to play things conservatively.
  2. Couple sweet popups to hit the brakes on the rally, but at least Saladino delivered one.
  3. Hopefully only til like 5pm today. I'm really hoping he gets canned over the break. The Cardinals just fired theirs, and they have a similar producing offense with even less offensive talent. But, I'm not holding my breath.
  4. We need to get the lead back badly. In part because we desperately need a win and in part because Counsell is going to have to talk to Dave Roberts to make sure Hader gets multiple innings in the AS game just to get him some work.
  5. Do we, as a team, even work on it anymore? Seems to be a lost art, at least as far as the Brewers are concerned. To me, it might be more important than ever due to the shifts that are used these days. Supposedly, they work on it everyday in BP, but they sure seem to suck at it.
  6. Why is it that other teams seem to make laying down a sac bunt look like an easy, routine thing, while for us it seems to be more like watching untrained monkeys try to perform brain surgery?
  7. This ump is all over the place on both corners. You might as well flip a coin on whether he's going to call it or not.
  8. We need 3 runs minimum to win this game. I wish I had any confidence whatsoever that we can pull that off.
  9. An injury to Aguilar would be the icing on this crapcake of a last week.
  10. Yes. Sounds counterintuitive, but ERA is not designed to measure a pitcher's defense.
  11. And because of Chacin's crap throw, we needlessly give up another extra run.
  12. LOL, I did. That's actually his 4th walk in the last 2 weeks. Small sample but maybe he is actually starting to adjust his approach at the plate.
  13. Villar has basically zero surplus value, and i can't imagine they would trade Guerra now. I know Thames is a popular trade name thrown out here for us, but I would guess the Brewers look at him that way a lot less than we do. Trading a .900 OPS bat for lower level prospects is probably not the best thing for the offense right now. These guys could all be potential offseason sell candidates but very likely none would be moved before this deadline anyway.
  14. Please win. I really don't want the embarrassment of a rare 5 game series sweep, and it would be nice to go into the break on a good note at least.
  15. Didn't realize until now now much some of our favorite targets have fallen off. Hamels: 4.36 ERA, 5.04 FIP...yuck. Happ is stili doing okay but up to a 4.29 ERA. He's pretty overrated. Salvador Perez is awful at the plate. With a .259 OBP you could argue he's not even an upgrade over Pina.
