  1. People defending Counsell are missing the point. Using Barnes wasn't the mistake. How long it took to pull him was the mistake.
  2. You don't just sit there and watch your 5th best reliever give up 5 straight baserunners. You just don't.
  3. Counsell just stands there and watches the game unravel. Took him 5 hitters to figure out that Jacob "Big Inning" Barnes doesn't have it today.
  4. Those estimates always seem hilariously bad. It's 400 alone to dead center. Consider it's 60 feet from home to the mound, does anyone seriously believe from where that ball hit that it does not at least continue past the fence the distance from home to the mound if unimpeded, which would mean at least 460 feet? Those measurements are a joke.
  5. It's kind of scary to think of how much better the Astros could be than they already are.
  6. My thoughts over 3 seconds: 1) That looks like it might be a tough play. 2) Who is in RF today? Oh crap, it's Thames. Not likely. 3) What a catch by Thames! 4) (trying to recall any Domingo Santana diving catches)
  7. Not a good way at all for Freddy to start the game, but at least got an out on the bases. Started yesterday's game with an HBP and today's with a walk. Not surprisingly both ended up hurting.
