He doesnt suck. He just isnt giving the team his all as he used to. Hopefully he redoubles his commitment to the team if we get in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure he is giving his all. He's 34 and not what he used to be and his body can't handle the daily grind anymore. Don't think it has anything to do with effort though.

3rd inning is a big moment in this game right now. 1st and 3rd no out with your 3-4-5 coming up and you get zilch. Can't happen.

I'm not a huge Braun fan but surprising they would not have him as an option in the poll of most iconic Brewers of all time. Seems quite deliberate especially with Fielder on there.

Sure you can criticize him for it. Yes, it happens, but if you swing away 3-0 with RISP and pop up a pitch you deserve to be criticized.

There's our $20M man with a rookie-like AB. And Shaw...swinging 3-0 you better do better than that weak sauce. My God. These 2 deserve to bat 8th and 9th for a game tomorrow after their embarrassing last 2 ABs.

I see no real reason that Broxton shouldn't hang around as a 4th or 5th OFer even with Cain back. I know he hasn't played much corner OF but I'm sure he can.

Bad 2-2 swing from Shaw. Then Braun came along and put Shaw's bad 2-2 swing to shame in comparison.

If the Mets say no to Hiura, Burnes, Ray and Woodruff, I really don't think Carmona or Rodriguez is going to be the guy that moves the needle and changes their mind. -
Broxton deserves some love here too, this game doesn't even make it to extras without his robbery. I don't know how the myth ever got started that he isn't a good defender. Anyway, great comeback, so glad they overcame a grand slam and a horrible call.

Although I obviously hope we win this and win it quickly, it would so serve Doug Eddings right for this to be a 22 inning marathon.

Why? He's not a special hitter anymore. Although I guess you have a guy making his MLB debut on deck so I get where you're coming from. Still....shows you how much Braun is feared these days. Also not a very good practice in general to load the bases to set up a walkoff walk possibility.

Shaw has to come through there. At least pop one into the OF and get one. He's one of the offensive leaders of this team. Totally unacceptable for him to end up with the bat on his shoulders with the bases loaded and one out on a close fastball. Pretty simple. At least protect there and go down swinging. Just can't happen with the tying run in scoring position.

Nice rally. Also a good time to remind everyone that Doug Eddings single handedly put a run on the board for the Twins and this game should be 4-3.
