  1. Why is it that every game our offense starts out looking like they're going to have a huge day, then as soon as they get a little behind they crawl into the fetal position for the rest of the game?
  2. LOL. Well I'll certainly take it. Glad to see him throw a couple strikes.
  3. Oh yes please Jimmy, walk some more. Get him out of there before this game gets away completely.
  4. No matter who is on our team, this is the sort of thing that just happens to us every time we see that Redbird jersey on the other side. I long for the day that we don't have to discuss every series with the Cardinals how much they own us, but they do.
  5. Dead horse, but I can't imagine there is another team that kills themselves with walks more than the Brewers. You lead off the inning with a pair of walks, and then later in the inning, an 0-2 meatball to the pitcher let's two of them come home. It's just inexcusable and things like this continue to happen to our pitching staff.
  6. An 0-2 pitch to the pitcher, lol. You suck, Jimmy.
  7. Broxton needs to come up with that. But that's what walks will do to you, Nelson.
  8. Villar actually prevented the double play there with his baserunning. Hesitation was enough to get Thames to 2nd. EDIT: Directly led to a run, too.
  9. Would be nice to put up a couple here. Gotta get one at least.
  10. Is his range out there in LF really that bad, or was he just playing way too deep for some reason? Can't believe how long that ball hung up there without being caught.
  11. The pitcher coming up with 2 outs and nobody on and we can't get out of the inning. Just classic Brewer baseball.
  12. How many leadoff bunt singles have we given up this year? Jimmy is horrible holding on runners. Had a play on Wong at 2nd too if he can field the ball cleanly.
  13. Keon has been having some better ABs the last few games.
  14. Leake is due to get knocked around a bit. I can't think of him now without thinking of a dude that shoplifts 60 dollars worth of shirts from Macy's.
  15. That same guy had a .948 OPS last year after as many plate appearances as he's had this year and still managed to finish the year as a AAA replacement level player. Just sayin.
  16. Most of the league isn't 'saying ' it. Nobody besides Lackey and Bosio are saying it. I expect that a lot of people might think it. I also would expect that players and coaches in a sport with countless dumb unwritten rules would understand the very common life process of thinking something but not saying it out loud because you're a decent human being with some common sense and a filter. When my wife asks if I think one of her girlfriends is attractive, I say 'she's okay I guess' and drop it. I don't yammer on about how gorgeous she is and what I'd like to do with her.
  17. So this is where we're at now? Every player who outperforms expectations - Eric Thames, Trevor Story, Jake Arrieta, Jean Segura...many others, we're just going to start throwing around PED accusations? The point is not that no one thinks he could be using or is 100% sure his performance isn't PED aided. No one has said that. I'm not naive enough anymore to think that there is anyone that for sure isn't . The point is that it's a total bush league move for a player and coach to accuse a fellow MLB player of it with absolutely nothing to back it up with. Especially when it's in direct response to the guy shelling you. That just reeks of sour grapes.
  18. I always have to remind myself that Santana is really young, only 24. So you certainly can't give up on him, but effort is entirely within his control and if he doesn't show it now he's probably not going show it later. Santana is a bad defensive outfielder. If you're going to stick as a bad defensive outfielder, you'd better rake with the bat. You'd think he'd be aware of all of this and would be showing a pretty consistent motor. He just gives the impression of a lazy player.
  19. Nope. No clicks for you. Why? I read the article along with the Buy or Sell one and thought both were pretty well written and insightful, it's relevant to this board and he contributed to the conversation when replied to here as well, so it's not like he just plugged and baied. Obviously no one likes spam and there's a fine line between advertising and spamming that you need to avoid crossing, especially here. But I don't see how this does. Just a young guy who loves Wisconsin sports trying to get his work out there a little bit.
  20. 6th or 7th inning he hit a grounder, just Sunday jogging it down the line. Might have made it a close play. Santana doesn't have a secure enough roster spot at the MLB level to do that. Broxton and Arcia are struggling just as badly as Santana but I never get the impression that either isn't trying.
  21. Other than Knebel and Barnes this entire bullpen is just composed of crap thrown at a wall.
  22. You'd think after 25+ years of being a fan of this team I'd be used to the disappointment.
