  1. Tell me again why teams are going to be eager to take on the remaining 2 year, $25M of Suppan's contract after this season?
  2. This is usually the time of the year when Suppan starts to suck for about 3 months before finally turning it on in July for the end of the season.
  3. Ryan Theriot looked funny looking over his shoulder when attempting to steal 2nd. I don't know what it is about Theriot, but I really can't stand him. Might be the uniform he wears.
  4. Me too....I watch it on FSN pretty much every day. Heaven forbid I get to watch it on another channel for one day and actually take advantage of the paltry HD lineup that Charter offers.
  5. Looks like Gagne rakes against Dempster to the tune of a .500 average, can we find anywhere in the field for him to play tommorow? :D
  6. Haha, I saw that too, I was wondering, why is he fidgeting so much? He looks like he's just slammed about 5 energy drinks.
  7. He's not though. He's one of the best in the game. Uh, I don't think he's horrible, but I'd have a hard time understanding what kind of criteria you could make up that would justify Yost being called one of the best managers in the game. Being the manager of a team that gets its first winning season in 15 years does not make you one of the best in the game. This is his 6th year. He's never been manager of the year in the NL. He's not usually up there in the voting. His bullpen was generally considered to be woefully mismanged last year. His team blew an 8.5 game lead in the division and set a franchise record for 3 run leads blown. He doesn't make the team better than it should be. I just don't see how he can be considered better than average, and that's being generous.
  8. Or pretty much every one of his starts in 2004.
  9. YES! Thank you Billy....whew. Brewers WIN.
  10. Cripes. Can Gagne please not do this again?
  11. I'm pretty sure that the Cub fans have resorted to booing every called strike.
  12. good point, but Counsell and Gwynn already were in the game... what could we do differently? Try to throw out Aramis Ramirez when he is stealing a base and putting himself in scoring position?
  13. Yeah Bill, homeruns suck. I think Schroeder needs a day off.
  14. If it's Gagne in the 9th, I don't want to see anything like what we saw on opening day. Well, besides still winning the game.
  15. Okay, can someone explain to me why we are "defensively indifferent" in a 3 run game in the 8th inning?
  16. Ha ha, those angry shouts from Cub fans after the called strike 3 to Lee were music to my ears.
  17. Yeah, Bill loves to say that he's not sure where one missed when he knows damn well where it missed. Look at it, Bill. It certainly wasn't high, or low, or inside. Pretty close to the outside corner, though. Could that be it? Yes, I'll take Outside for $200, Alex.
  18. Initially, I thought Hall swung at ball 4, but that could really have gone either way.
  19. Would be nice to have Torres go the distance and give everybody else the rest of the day off. But I'll be satisfied with a win.
  20. Those 2 insurance runs are huge.
  21. Hey, I'll take one the easy way. Pour it on!!
  22. At least Gwynn walked anyway, but I'm so sick of the inconsistent strike zone.
  23. Well, win or lose, we're not pulling even with the Cardinals today. Cueto got absolutely destroyed by St. Louis. 7 runs in 1 2/3rd.
  24. It would really be nice to see Hart get the cycle. You would have to think that Chad Moeller being the last guy who did it for you is some kind of curse.
