  1. I'll put the over/under for us tonight at 4 hits against Hamels.
  2. I'm not saying it's BAD by any means, or even not good. I'm just saying, the way people talk about it, you'd think think that he's a shoo-in for 12 gold gloves in his career. Seems to me that just like any other shortstop, he makes some very nice plays, but still boots one every so often.
  3. Sweet. The Phillies might already have enough runs to win this one with Hamels on the mound. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  4. I know this is almost sacreligious on here, but does anyone think that Hardy's defense might be a bit overrated? That's his 4th on the year, and it costed us a run. Weeks, by comparison, has 1. I know SS is a tougher position to play, and Hardy does make some great plays, but I don't think he's a Gold Glove SS at this point in his career yet.
  5. Well, the offense is picking up right where they left off against Eaton last night.
  6. I would very much guess that we're going to see a full game of baseball tonight, just a lot later than expected. The umpires have access to radar, too. I'd be pretty surprised if they waited around for 2 hours only to cancel the game with the system 1/2 hr away of being in the clear.
  7. Frustrating. That might have been our only shot.
  8. And Craig Counsell stepped up to bat. Be still my heart.
  9. Rough day for Jenkins. Who pitches the 9th if we don't take the lead?
  10. Ned was ejected and is back in the clubhouse. Pretty sure he isn't calling the shots from back there.
  11. Well, Spurling got it done in the 8th, but if we can't trust him to pitch one scoreless inning against the other team's 7, 8, and 9, perhaps he shouldn't be on the roster. He sure didn't fare so well against the top of the order.
  12. Well, Rickie made contact, but he's still 0 for 4.
  13. Let's just get 3 in the 8th, turn it over to Bow and Cordero, win this one 4-3, and call it a day, okay?
  14. Well, a Spurling appearance indicates that our management doesn't seem to think it's too likely that we rally against Adam freaking Eaton. Nice to see we really came back out with some fire after our skipper got tossed.
  15. Counsell is such a waste of money. I'd rather have an injured Rillo.
  16. Pull a guy after the 5th after less than 70 pitches and 2 runs on 5 hits? Not going to happen.
  17. This lineup drives me nuts. They'll look like world-beaters some nights, and then other nights a bum like Eaton will completely shut them down.
  18. 2-1, but could be a lot worse. Great defense has saved at least a couple runs tonight. (Jenk's throw, Hardy/Weeks DP)
  19. Have we hit one on the ground yet today?? Wow.
  20. All of the sudden, the homeplate ump is calling EVERYTHING on the corner, after calling nothing strikes that wasn't right down the heart of the plate earlier. He's been horribly inconsistent today.
  21. I'd like to be optimistic, but seeing Perez has no-hit our 1-8 all day, and the Mets have one of the best bullpens in baseball, it doesn't look too good. Stranger things have happened, though.
