It looked like he was obviously out in live, but I went back and took another slow-motion look at it, and you might be right. Counsell stopped and then his foot hit 3rd about the same time the tag was applied. It could have been called either way, but I'm not surprised it was called the way it was just because it looked like one of those plays that he was obviously out.
I couldn't figure out why you guys were talking about stuff I hadn't seen yet. Then I realized that I was watching the DVR about 3 minutes behind because I had to go review something earlier.
He can start, he can come out of the pen, nothing seems to break Villanueva. He may be the most underrated guy on the Brewers roster, and he just shut down the heart of the Pirates order. If he can get his walks down, look out.
Bats have been pretty much silent since the 2nd inning, so we might need these 3 runs to hold up. Hopefully Villy can be the usual Villy here in the 7th, I assume he's coming in.
I don't know what ails Bill Hall, but the sooner he figures it out, the better. When his glove is better than his stick, which it is right now, that's not good.
I would have been awfully mad at Brian if he would have walked in a run. Shouse is a lefty killer and Duffy has a .158 AVG vs. lefties. He got lucky, he takes that pitch and it's a tie game.
3 straight games our pitcher has a hit in their first AB! LOL... When it's going good, it's going good. And smart move to hold Graffy at 3rd with nobody out.
