    I'm telling you, this series has "huge letdown" written all over it. I'm not saying we're going to get swept, but it wouldn't shock me. Capuano is usually a sure thing, but things happen -- that's probably be the game the bats don't show up. And with De La Rosa and Bush going the other days, really no telling what we'll see. I don't think it will get that bad, but if we head back to Milwaukee on a 5 game losing streak and 2 under .500, it won't be the first time we went into Pittsburgh on a high and then disaster struck.

    "A .500 season this year would be a big disappointment." Bill, thank you for saying it and putting a rest to the ".500 is fine for this team" talk. On a sidenote, wouldn't mind seeing DD get pinch-hit for here -- but nope they're having him go. And I know he's a pitcher but it bothered me a bit seeing him completely dog it down to 1st...don't know if anyone else noticed that, but he looked like he was out for a Sunday stroll running down to 1st.

    Double play kills a possible rally...(sigh)... Should I be genuinely concerned that we could go into Pittsburgh, get swept in a 4 game series there, and have it be one of the major turning points of our season?? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif It's happened before...

    It's all about that kid they interviewed from West Point, he's 1 and 6 at Brewer games this year! Sometimes people must realize they are a jinx! ------------------------------------ No kidding....I have to admit when he said the Brewers don't win when he comes to the game, I thought to myself, "Well, stop going, for crying out loud!!!"

    That wasn't a bad at bat, so I'm not talking based on that, but can we start Hart against lefties, or at least not have Jenks batting #3 against lefties? It's like having a pitcher batting in the 3-spot whenever he goes up against a lefty. Literally.

    Sure was but unfortunately he may have given up enough to lose the game in the 1st. We'll see.

    It's not over by any means, but our rotation is just very disappointing compared to expectations. There's just no excuse for Doug Davis having a 5+ ERA at this point in the season. It's almost June for crying out loud. If he hasn't figured it out by now, he hasn't instilled much confidence. I'm tired of seeing him walk 5+ guys a game and have it end up costing runs because he doesn't have enough confidence to go after guys and throw strikes.

    DD. C'mon. Are you serious??? You INSIST on nibbling. Have you noticed that it's not very successful? You can forget about that $10 + million contract if you can't figure out how to quit walking everyone. I hate having ONE guy in this rotation that we can count on with regularity.

    On the flip side, if you foul tip and it is not caught, it is a foul. They don't run on over to 1st and try to beat the throw coming from the catcher, it's just a foul ball. So this is debatable.

    You have GOT to be kidding me with that non called 3rd strike. WOW. I am very glad he ended up swinging at Ball 4 to end the game with Strike 3, that was justice.

    Well if you would like you can always mute the TV and play the radio. I guess I'd rather listen to them call the run for us then some East Coast fanatics from Fox or ESPN.

    I like Bill and Daron. I know that's not a popular opinion around here, but I feel they do a decent job. Sure, they do say some dumb things, but after hearing other team's announcers (I'm sure many of you have heard the same) talking in a boring, monotone voice and bringing absolutely no enjoyment to even having announcers, I don't mind them. They are at least somewhat entertaining. They are also "homers", no doubt, but whose hometown announcers aren't? They get excited about their team.

    Well, 1 more inning would be 10 for 10 on quality starts for Cappy. So it only makes sense that we would put up only 1 run so far against "Boof Bonser". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Just so frustrating sometimes.

    I was wondering about that too. Hope he's not hurt. Like we can afford any more injuries right now, especially our starting catcher.

    With Ben Hendrickson and Dana Eveland in our starting rotation, I don't feel sorry for Bonser getting in trouble in the 1st inning whatsoever. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
