  1. Oh, and on a different note, since it was being discussed earlier, is Obie really available? If he is, I don't see why we don't pick him up. He's a better option than half our bullpen right now.
  2. Without checking the stats, I am going to say that I'll bet we have allowed double digits in more games so far this year than the entire last season.
  3. Hey, the Brewers that lost 8 in a row are back!
  4. And the Brewers demonstrate the fine art of "How to let the runner escape a rundown." Sweet D.
  5. I doubt it would have mattered, but how in the WORLD was that first pitch to Eckstein a ball? This homeplate ump is ridiculous.
  6. Nice call going to Capellan....one inning too late Then again, maybe not...are we really going to let this slip away? Really? And Carlos, how about showing some hustle out in left...
  7. Well, at least we can use a pinch-hitter this inning, eh?
  8. Right....JDL doesn't get a pass by any means, but Winklesas sure doesn't appear to be Mr. "Get You Out Of A Jam."
  9. Is JDLR still in there?? Winklesas is all over the place. And we're a basehit away from blowing a 6-0 lead.
  10. Whew...he got lucky there. That was Ball 4.
  11. I won't slam him for the three baserunners that weren't his fault, but sure I'd slam him for coming in and giving up yet another first AB homerun.
  12. Nothing like walking the bases loaded to give a team a free shot at getting back in the game. I remember several days ago, Jorge walked someone to load the bases, and Winklesas was brought in...anybody remember what happened? I probably shouldn't have said that.
  13. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Man I am so frustrated right now. A 3 game losing streak is frustrating. An 8 game losing streak is not even describable.
  14. I wonder if everyone at George Webb's forgot about the 6 burgers for $5 deal yet? I wonder if we'll see it again sometime.
  15. I don't think who is called up/sent down, is entirely up to Ned...
  16. I'll guess that the first 3 guys reach for us in the 9th. Then the next one strikes out, and then we hit into a double-play to end it.
  17. How about going way high and inside on Schneider here for extending our losing streak last night? Before anyone gets mad, I'm kidding.
  18. Is anyone else a little annoyed by Bill and Daron's constant reference to this game as "just one of those days." Losing a game 14-3 is just one of those days. Getting whooped 8 straight games is not just one of those days.
  19. How much farther do we have to fall before we just start worrying about getting everyone healthy for 2007? I give Bill, Daron, Bob, and Jim credit for being able to keep their cool on the air. I don't know if I'd be able to. If I hear Yost say anything about just keeping their heads up and that they're just not getting any breaks right now after today's game, I think I'm going to be sick. They are ready for the tirade.
  20. We have seriously got to be the worst team in baseball right now. No, not the Pirates, they just swept us. No, not the Royals, they might do the same. Over the last 7 games, we look like a team out of a movie about a helpless baseball team. That's how bad it's gotten.
  21. On a sidenote, what if the batboy had ignored the umpire initially when told not to pick up the bat, and the ump had gotten mad and tossed him? I have to admit, that would have been kind of funny. Wonder if it's ever (a batboy getting tossed) happened before.
  22. Are you actually suggesting that they needed to be caereful with Armas? With Soriano on deck nonetheless? Hell, if the pitcher pokes a double down the line, more power to him. At least you didn't lose him on a walk. When you're facing a pitcher batting .045, you attack him. You don't fall behind 3-0. That's just the way it is. A pitcher hitting .045 does not hit well enough to justify not throwing him strikes. I don't care if he throws him 3 meatballs right down the plate. Don't walk him.
  23. Even Hall is stuck in the slump. The only 2 guys that ARE hitting (Hart and Cirillo) don't start. But oh my God, Wolf, you're not his mother. If the batboy is going to pick up the bat, let him pick up the bat.
