  1. Yeah, I don't hear nearly as much Mike Maddux love these days as we once did.
  2. HR Batista....Bud, go away!!!!! Since you showed your face, Cappy has allowed a double, home run, walk, and sac bunt. Normally I don't believe in that kind of thing, but we can't take any chances with you!
  3. Ack, please get Selig away from there. His precense alone is bad luck for the Brewers, have we not learned that?
  4. Well, that's a 4.58 ERA.... Including tonight, over the last 8 games, it'd be 32.1 IP, with a 1.75 WHIP, and a 7.11 ERA. If those are not too bad numbers, your expectations of this bullpen were astronomically lower than mine...
  5. I know this isn't really what you meant.... but the 2003 Brewers team pretty much stunk. And they won 10 in a row. They were 27 games under .500 when the streak started. So I don't think it's so much a matter of how good you are as it is things clicking for you at the right time. We're going to need them to click and put together at least some decent streaks together this season if we're going to contend -- because we seem to lose in streaks, too. Man I miss Sheets, Okha, Helling. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif I can already name 2 out 3 guys that could immediately say goodbye to Milwaukee if they were all suddenly to get healthy...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Walking Abreu is never a very good idea. Stole 2nd again.
  7. I hope Dana isn't opening the floodgates for another big inning here.
  8. Urghh....Carlos has been awfully quiet this series.
  9. No problem. I still disagree that it was a 50/50 call, but that's nothing more than my opinion.
  10. Well, at least Eveland has quieted the Phillies down since the first. Might get one more inning out of him. Now if only we could start swinging the bats...
  11. First of all, I didn't rip on yesterday's call. But I really don't think that was anywhere near a 50/50 call.
  12. Sheesh...so far we are giving Philly fans no reason not to continue drooling over their new rookie starter.
  13. I'll give Yost his due when he makes a good call, but I'm not going to shower him with kudos for making an obvious call.
  14. Hamels can't find the zone right now...we need to take advantage. Crap...flied out on a 3-1...every pitch up to then was a ball.
  15. Well that worked out just the way they wanted it to. We are very, very fortunate to only be down 3-0 right now, really.
  16. Time to start knocking around Hamels a little bit in the 3rd. Or just take the walks if he can't find the strike zone again. Whatever works.
  17. I almost wish Dana had gotten knocked around a little bit in the 2nd, bad enough that Yost would have wanted to PH hit out of the game right there.
  18. Well, Dana, if you want us to completely forget about the 1st inning forever, your first career Grand Slam would be welcome. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  19. Brady Clark is slowly but surely starting to come around...
  20. C'mon, Carlos. Looks like we're swinging at some bad pitches so far.
  21. So we just deal with having pretty much a guaranteed loss every 5 games? I'm not sure that a 12+ ERA is going to cut it, even in a weakened rotation. Surely De La Rosa or Jackson can do better than that.
  22. I say give JDLR or Zach J. a shot until Helling comes back, then hand the spot over to him. Any of those three sound like betters options than Eveland to me right now.
  23. Well, could have been worse, I guess. Could have been a lot better, too.
  24. I am not saying that Dana does not have a bright future, but it seems pretty clear to me that he's not ready for the big leagues, at least not as a starter. Considering we're trying to make a serious run at contending this year, we need to have someone in there who can at least give us a shot at winning, not someone who gives us a guaranteed loss every 5th day.
  25. I am thinking Dana Eveland is definitely not the answer as a #5 starter.
