    It looked initially like he started to slide and then balked. So I think that’s how the call was missed, they threw the flag thinking there was a slide at first.

    It’s a change of possession and I’ve never seen them call it that way, often they finish it in case the whistle was never blown.

    I was sitting there saying “hang onto the ball, Savion… hang onto the ball!” And then he did not hang onto the ball.

    It’s not us so much. It’s more that the Dodgers are distancing themselves further and further from the NL field. They were never in any trouble in the NLCS. I don’t see us closing the gap without some structural changes.

    It’s so obvious how much it just sticks in your craw every time someone brings up that your Cubs couldn’t get it done against the Brewers.

    Judging by our performance in the NLCS, we’re not as close as we thought we were and we need those structural changes first.

    I don’t know what your source is on this, but there is absolutely no way that runner on 3rd/1 out has a more than double probability of scoring at least one run versus man on 2nd/0 outs. There’s no way that math is close.

    Kirk being on deck was huge. It was like they were winningly walking right into a trap.

    The Blue Jays had 3 outs left in their entire season. And Schneider donated 1/3rd of them.

    I can’t think of one single time recently where everything worked exactly in sequence to succeed - the bunt was laid down and advanced the runner, then the contact with a man on 3rd and 1 out scored a run. It never worked out. Something always went wrong.

    A 14 game win streak, an emotional NLDS win, a 6-0 record against the eventual WS champs, all for the freaking Dodgers to repeat. What a dumb game and league.
