    Again, too hesitant to challenge. Vivas strikes out looking if someone taps their head and instead he’s on 2nd base a couple pitches later.

    Oh the arm is fine, strength wise. He just has no idea where it’s going to go.

    Yeah, our record isn’t too concerning, I mean we are on pace to be 80-60 after 140 games. More concerning right now is the way they’re swinging the bat. Ortiz is still Ortiz, we know what we got. The hole at 3B was never addressed. But the biggest problem is the outfield. Frelick is not swinging a good bat and Lockridge and Perkins are roster cloggers. We need Chourio back. If it weren’t for Garrett Mitchell, we’d likely be under .500.

    For a team that pinches as many pennies as we do, we paid a lot for a #5.

    Look, the Pratt extension is definitely never going to *hurt* is. Still, his bat deficiencies make it really hard to get excited about him compared to the usual young minor league guys who get the big extension.

    Frelick looked like he was more worried about not grounding into a double play than he was about trying to win the game.

    Lockridge isn’t good. He just looks a lot better than Perkins.

    I think we’ll find a way to 90 wins or so like we always somehow do, but we have to get healthy to do so. We miss Chourio, Vaughn and Priester.
