  1. I mean I am only half serious but if Vaughn had started at 3B tonight for one singular game to get his bat in the game in this environment the Brewers would have gotten through the game and life would have went on. I still remember when Travis Shaw moving to second seemed like a bad joke.
  2. He actually can, he has played 10 innings there with the White Sox at the MLB level. It might be Ryan Braun 2007 esque but I guess until they call up some better alternatives I’m game for trying anything that keeps Luis Rengifo off the field and out of the lineup.
  3. Damn, can’t wait til his bat speed and power comes around so he can improve on that pitiful .551 slugging percentage.
  4. I’m okay with no Sanchez, because I can’t see benching Contreras or Yelich tonight, but I can’t excuse Vaughn. You have to consider more than just the splits. There’s a good chance that Vaughn runs into one tonight if given 5 opportunities. You have to consider the environment. You’re either elevating balls here or you’re losing. You’re not winning in this stadium with small ball.
  5. Yeah, I mean he can’t do that in normal, actual MLB stadiums but I’m sure it’ll be no problem for him here.
  6. Truly one of the most pathetic offensive performances of the season. And they scored 5 runs.
  7. Kind of silly, but it resulted in Rengifo being removed from the game so I guess I’m not complaining. I guess the thinking was you’re not going to PH for Yelich or Chourio or Turang or Contreras or Bauers and you’re not going to lead off the inning with Vaughn so you might as well take a shot.
  8. For all the angst about this stadium, we have 1 HR tonight and 2 extra basehits. That is not good enough here.
  9. Mitchell was having a really nice AB looking like he was going to draw a much needed leadoff walk and then he just starts fishing.
  10. I know you’d like to think we can still score more, but you really can’t give up any more runs.
  11. Stadium excuses ring hollow when we’re putting the ball in play like we are tonight.
  12. Turang and Contreras have been completely pitiful tonight. Your 3 and 4 hitters going for 0 for 8 and putting the ball in play 3 times in this stadium is as bad as it gets.
  13. If they go that route I assume Jett gets selected and comes up. If they go the IL route I assume it has to be Pratt. Odds are they go with option 3 which is Rengifo in the lineup once again tomorrow.
  14. “Hey how’s your leg?” ”Oh, I’m good.” ”I don’t know. That’s a hell of a bruise.” ”It was the other leg.”
  15. They could move the outfield fence here to the edge of the infield and Rengifo still wouldn’t hit one out,
  16. Rough night for Mitchell last night but he’s doing well making up for it today. We need it.
  17. Like the AB from Bauers. At the absolute least let’s chase Ginn from the game this inning and get to their overworked pen.
  18. I wouldn’t want to play every series here, but for this one series, we have all the same advantages and disadvantages that the A’s do.
  19. I could if the ball was a golf ball and I could hit it with a driver off a tee set on home plate.
  20. I mean giving up 4 taters tonight would have been about my over/under on him.
  21. At least try to make Ginn work a little bit and chase him from this game.
  22. He had two really awesome years for us and kind of helped usher in this new era of Brewer baseball the last 8-9 years and I’m grateful for that. But I think even the biggest Yelich homer would admit this — if there was a DH only player on the open market who would give you a 120 OPS+ and the cost was $25M a year, we would have absolutely zero interest in signing that player.
  23. Homeplate umpire not very good tonight but fortunately for him Clint Vondrak gave him an extremely low bar to clear.
