  1. In a similar vein, does anyone have the link to the "Dr. Love" clip?
  2. It was good to see, but that Enright dude was just dreadful. He kept splitting the plate with high 80's belt high fastballs, a hitters wet dream pitch. Casey's first hit was on a fastball right down the middle. This was after Casey missed a hanging curve ball right down the middle. Yesterday might have been a bad thing in that now people can say he's turned the corner.
  3. Sitting in right field, it clearly hit the green wall well above the yellow line. I was shocked by what it looked like on TV. I think the camera angle was just right (or wrong) on this shot. I think if the camera is 10 feet in either direction, it would be easy to tell.
  4. Step 1: Click on your username at the top of the window. Step 2: Click on your avatar. Step 3: Click on any of your saved pictures, or click the "Upload" button to...upload a new avatar! If you are lost by the time you get to step 3 you need to turn in your internet privilege pass. Step 2 took me a bit to figure out also.

You can risk that dollar and either receive $50 (Green plays well overall), $10 (Green improves defense at third but hits similar to McGehee) or $0 (Green falters). Who wouldn't take that opportunity, you are out a dollar at the worst. It depends on what you think the odds are. If you think the $50 and $10 are each one in a million chance, it is a bad deal. Especially if you think there is a 75% chance that the police are going to raid the place and arrest everyone for illegal gambling. I have been anti-McPumpkin for a while. I thought we should have traded him before the '10 season started. I felt the fairy godmother dust would wear off sooner or later, and I didn't want to have him when the clock strikes midnight. With that in mind, it is possible that calling up Green will be worse. What if after 15 days (or whatever the minimum time spent in the minors is) Green is OPSing .500 with horrible defense and Casey is feasting on minor pitching. Do you bring swap them back out? What if Casey can only hit minor pitching and continues to be horrid in the majors? Melvin is then in a no win situation. We need to trade for someone (actually two people) to man the left side of the infield. I don't care if they are one dimensional. We have the offense and pitching. We need some defense.
  6. The good news is that the winning run is on Loe. Maybe after enough losses, RRR will figure out how to use him. Also, I missed the "DPR" nickname for Roenicke. What does that stand for?
  7. Wow, a lefty crushed Loe. I wish there were some sort of stats that would have predicted that...
  8. Yes. There are about 100 in the US Senate.
  9. Boy, if that was the case.....I'd be ecstatic! I believe Reyes is the best available SS out there, and is a gigantic upgrade over Yuni. I really believe, especially after last night, DM is going all in for this year. Prince is as good as gone, especially after the AS MVP, so this is the best chance. Casey may or may not pick it back up, but the biggest weakness is SS. If DM can get Reyes, I'd love it!!If this happens, wouldn't the Brewers get 7 first round picks in 2012? That would restock the system quickly.
  10. I remember fans (like myself) booing for the Cubs players, but I think it was clear it was just a rivalry boo.
  11. I also never remove my cap. I do it as my protest to the singing of GBA. Right around the time we started doing GBA every week, we had to stop doing a 2nd round of Roll Out the Barrel. We were told that the 7th inning stretch was taking too long. And what's up with Bell trying to steal Coffey's schtick?
  12. The families then went to the Air Tran airway. The kids were a blast. As they were walking in from the field, the guy to my left called for the ball. Yo Jr. threw a perfect strike to him from the field, over the Air Tran area, and into the bleachers. I sit near the steps leading down. When the kids got into the area, we called them up the stairs. He got Yo Jr. to sign the ball (as we realized that was the ball he used for the first pitch) and people took pictures of the kids. The kids (especially Jayden and Yo) loved the attention. Then the kids started playing around. Jayden had the windup of a major league pitcher, he looked pretty good. My favorite memory is of a group of kids sitting at the bar drinking soda. They all had their daddy's jersey on. There were little Fielders, Gallardos and Harts just sitting at the bar watching baseball. It was real cute.
  13. I'm worried about them this year, since no team seems to want to win it. The longer they are kept in the race, the more chance they have of eeking out the division title.
  14. This is Brewers news, but I didn't know where else to put it. Excuse me if this is covered elsewhere. The Brewers sent online surveys to season ticket holders. One of the questions is whether I would want Friday games to start at 7:40 pm instead of 7:10. Another question was whether I would want Sunday games to start at 1:40 instead of 1:10. So be prepared for new start times next year if they got positive feedback.
  15. First, how do you get free upgrades? I've exchanged tickets before, and have never been offered anything. Heck, I consider it lucky if the guy even knows about exchanging tickets. Do you use the outside ST window or the inside window? Is it because I already sit in the Field level? But even their prices and perks rate this as worse seats than Terrace Reserve. Maybe it has something to do with the second point. We had chances for free tickets in those sections. My mom choose yesterday and was sitting there. So I bet a lot of the people sitting there didn't pay a cent (well, bought season tickets) for those tickets. Maybe that's why they offered free upgrades. Between the lack of respect to certain ST holders (I had to obtain NYCE passes from Hawing despite having a full ticket account since 02. Thanks again!) and the Brewers lack of play recently have me a bit testy.
  16. Just like Nelson Cruz, the Mets placed him on waivers after we traded him. Cleveland picked him up, and eventually traded him to San Diego. Only then did he regain his form. I can't blame DM for letting him go, but it is sad to think what this team would be with those two players the past couple of years.
  17. Precisely my feeling. I can hardly watch lately. Also, I immediately burst out laughing while reading the billyjohnston post. Well done, sir. I changed my pic to the "Fire Roenicke" picture during the offseason. I did it as a joke. Since 99% of managers are fired, I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon early and jump off before it started to get crowded. It should be telling that I changed it half way through April.
  18. If you're seeing the Brewers on the road, I suggest you pretend you are an Astro fan. It will be more fun to watch your team win.
  19. Cappy would probably still be around. I'm as disappointed with Greinke as I was about Mass Effect. The results did not live up to the hype.
  20. What happens if Prince wins it and is playing in the AL next year?
  21. I turned it off in the 2nd to catch up on the DVR. Something made me come back in the 7th. What a win. Can someone explain the dumbheaded play Betancourt made that everyone is talking about?
  22. But we want McGehee getting regular playing time. Ideally McGehee gets his 09-10 magic back. He probably won't do that as a platoon mate.
  23. If I were Prince, I'd pick Counsell, Jason Bourgeois, and Jamey Carroll. Then I'd only have to hit 1 HR to get to the next round.
  24. obsessedwithbrewcrew wrote:I think the MVP should go to the offensive player with the best raw numbers. That's funny. I suppose you think the Gold Glove should go to the best defensive player, too. It's a good thing Prince has that protection behind him.
