  1. Ack, what a way to destroy what should be a great day. This needs to be someone baseball related. Why not get a Bear to also throw out a pitch while they're at it?
  2. I'm going to go with 80-82.
  3. I bought my PS3 pretty much for "The Show" and I love the game. I bought it this past December, and the only games I've played are "The Show" 10 and 11. I have 2 unopenned PS3 games sitting on the shelf I'll get to at some point. Between playing seasons (I'm currently in the NLDS against the Cards in 10) and The Road to the Show (I have a shortstop hitting near .400 in AA, why am I still not the full time starter? 11) there is so much to enjoy. I fell in love with the series when I played my first game on PS2 The Show 09 and it played bell toles when Hoffman came in for the save. The free streaming of Netflix movies is awesome. I can't stream for free on the 360 (stupid) and it looks like WMLW when I stream on the Wii. I also love the fact that I don't it also doubles as my Blu-Ray player.
  4. MLB the Show 11's Trophies include winning the WS as the Cubs. Yuck. As a completionist, I want the trophy. As a Brewer fan, I do not want to play as and win with the Cubs. What to do?
  5. I can see it already. Gomez on first with two outs. He steals 2nd successfully. Then Prince is intentionally walked. I think I'd rather have Prince have a go at it with a runner on first then Hart/McGehee with runners on first and second.
  6. I would like to have seen Game 4. That looks like an exciting (and better for Milwaukee) game.
  7. Can you point to something that qualifies Cruz as a defensive whiz worthy of a roster spot on that alone? His name does not start with a 'Y' or end in "Betancourt".
  8. The blackout restrictions are to force you to watch the channel, it has nothing to do with whether you can physically get to the game. It sucks for places that don't have a channel that broadcasts the Brewers, but the Brewers still have the right to broadcast in that area (IA, etc.). Although illegal, I have *heard* of people using an anonymity program like JAP to mask their IP settings. I would not recommend this illegal route http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  9. I'm posting this from my Blackberry Curve's browser. I have no problems with Yuku. I wish it was better optimized for my phone, but I can deal with the extra vertical scrolling.
  10. If you were a reporter, would you be trying to get a YB interview or spend your time looking for Grienke/Marcum material? I think his absence is because of a lack of interest by the media.
  11. This was great. I sold my Civ IV and expansions to my brother in Sept for $15. Now I get them all back for half of that.
  12. Unless they "settle" for signing our best player.
  13. Aerosmith did it in 2001 (along with Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, 'N Sync, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, and Nelly). "Rock Band Aerosmith" was the story of Aerosmith rising from a small band to headlining the "Big Game".
  14. Yes, there are wireless webcams. They don't record locally. They stream the video to your network. One of your computers must capture the stream and save it locally. So there is no looping, it always records. It's up to your computer and software to turn it into saved video files. At work, we use Blue Iris Software. You can set it up to run as a service (as long as windows is running, the service will run) so sleep mode, logging off, etc won't interrupt it. It also lets you re-stream the video out to a web browser. At work we gave it the name of "DVR". That's all you have to put into a web browser and you can then look at all of the videos it has saved. We also have it set to only record when it detects movement, so there is little wasted video. It also saves time when reviewing the videos. This software runs on an old desktop that was decomissioned, but this is the only job it does now.
  15. How do we trade for 2 studs and still give up that many runs. I didn't think Yuni was that bad at defense.
  16. I was online, but my bedtime is 9pm. You stay up too late for me Hawing. That was one of the best half time shows ever, surrounded by one of the worst games ever.
  17. I don't know if the NL Central is that much of a powerhouse compared to the AL Central. Also, we'll have an easier time making it through the playoffs not having to face the AL East winner or AL East WC.
  18. Unfortunately (actually fortunately), I can see the scoreboard from my seats and can't wait to check it out.
  19. At On Deck, they were recording a new in/pre game commercial. They wanted you to say what you liked about MP and then cheer at the end. We asked the guy in charge, and he's 90 percent sure any videos displayed on the old board will not be displayed on the new board. He said he doesn't think the dimensions are the same, and that the resolution will make old videos look horrible on the new board. This may mean we will never see the Designated Driver video again!
  20. I've been to County, Miller, Wriggly, GAB, and HHH. Wriggly's a dump. It's the worst place I've ever seen a game. I went to a Phillies/Reds game the first year of GAB. It was a fun experience. I had no interest in the outcome of the game, so I just enjoyed the baseball and got to soak in the atmosphere. Two things struck me at that stadium. It seemed very small, almost minor league sized. Height, dimensions, everything seemed small. The staff there was the best I've ever experienced. I took home more trinkets from that game than any other in my life, including an autograph, when I didn't support either team. The concession stands were always cheerful. The fan relations booth was excellent during a rain delay, and became even kinder when they found out I was actually a Brewer fan travelling with a Red Sox fan. HHH was my first indoor baseball experience. I understood why they wanted an outdoor stadium. It also wasn't fun since I was at every game of a Twins sweep against the Brewers. I also couldn't understand why I couldn't have a lid for my soda.
  21. I asked if the Marlins are the only team to get a new stadium. The answer (according to Wikipedia) is yes. Thanks Chris.
  22. I can't think of where else to put this, since this doesn't deserve its own thread. Are the Marlins the only team to get a new stadium next year? Edit: Next year being 2012
  23. I just saw it at Piggly Wiggly in South Milwaukee. I work in IT, so I don't really know what happens to it after it's put onto trailers. You can also try Target. I have not seen it on the shelf, it is usually near the end of the aisle on its own rack.
  24. Or he may turn into the next Scotty Po. I like these low risk signings for positions we don't have set.
  25. Gehl's Staduim Nacho Cheese Party Pack and a bag of tortilla chips. It's the same cheese they serve at Miller Park, Speedway, Taco Bell, and Arby's among other places. It comes in a 16(?)oz bag and just needs to be heated up in the microwave or on the stove. It's about $3. I've seen it at the Oak Creek Woodman's and think they might also have them Sendik's. Disclaimer: I currently draw a paycheck from Gehl's, but everything in this post is true.
