  1. I put down what the Brewers told us the price of the tickets were. SSH got a discount on every round but the WS.

  3. I stayed for a while last night but had to leave around 10:30ish? I took BP at Miller Park on Tuesday and had agreed to work the 6am shift on Saturday to make up for it. I had to get to bed so I could function. Going into the bottom of the 7th, all I could think was "Marlins, Cubs, 1-1 game, Brewers playoffs on the line, Braun has a good chance to hit in the 8th...why does this seem so familiar?". The bleacher section erupted when FSN showed the Cubs HR on the TVs. As soon as it happened, Morgan and Prince made no secret they were now watching the scoreboard to see why we were cheering. For the first time in franchise history, we will be playing regular season games as Division Champs!
  4. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Section 104!
  5. I got home from work yesterday, and the first thing I did was check baseball scores. The Mets were losing 6-2 in the 9th. I muttered some NSFW words and navigated elsewhere. I was so upset that I never came back to anything sports related all night. This morning, I was checking the standings. The Brewers are up by 5. It was early, but it didn't make sense that we were up by 5 when our magic number was 3. The math didn't seem right. Then I checked the Braves site to find how they're handling it. It had an article about the WC lead dropping to 1.5. This gives me pause, because I just saw that it was at 2. How did the Braves gain a half a game when the Cardinals won? I backed up my browser to confirm that it said 2. That was when the stray thought came into my head. Did the Mets make a comeback? I check the Cardinal's last game column... I take back everything I said about you Cappy and Mets!!!!! http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/4704/fetisov.jpg
  6. Yeah, I didn't get the "Ponzi Scheme" angle. The government runs programs closer to a Ponzi Scheme than this place. Still a criminal organization that was paying out off too much cash, but not a Ponzi.
  7. Reyes is currently .000426757708311 ahead. [/toomuchtimeonmyhands]
  8. This just sucks because I finally got on the Netflix bandwagon last winter. I'm not sure if I will continue with them. Streaming is the future, but their selection isn't as massive as their DVD's. And there are times they stop streaming movies. I was watching Iron Man and stopped half way through. We went to finish the movie two days later to find it was no longer a streamed movie. We had to borrow the disk from a family member to watch the rest of it.
  9. ??? I forgot this was an East Coast noon game. I'm glad to see they're winning, I'm upset that I didn't get to see it.

  11. Braun is now .00058 behind Reyes for the batting title. If he wins the batting title, I don't see how he doesn't get the MVP.
  12. Getting parking passes? Yes. Preferred over General? Your call. I like General parking better, because I can fly out of the lot before anyone else. And I'm cheap. But some people like parking closer and not walking. If you did not buy any passes, you would not be allowed to park there on game day. There is no risk when buying parking. If they don't play those games, you get your money back for parking anyway (or you can automatically apply it to next year's tickets). Only the $25 one time fee for post season ticket shipping is non-refundable. I was able to get two extra tix in 204 row 6. So I can take JaDerHeyski and sit in my seats, and my mom can take dad and sit a couple rows behind us. I was worried that lack of tix might cause hard feelings in the family.
  13. I'm just hoping the offense reappears and is present for the series until Nov 3rd.
  14. I was seriously thinking of leaving the game during the 7th. It was clear the Brewers turned on the Cruise Control mode and have now found they can't get it to click off.
  15. They changed the configuration of the ribbon boards at MP starting last night. They pitch count and linescore at the ends have been moved in a section. The ends of the ribbon boards are now a white on blue closed caption of what Rob Edwards is saying over the speaker system. I wonder who had this idea or if this was something we picked up from another team?

  17. Except I'd fully expect Braun to strikeout and Fielder to GIDP to get the Drunk out of trouble.
  18. Carpenter, Cards Reportedly Agree for Two Years According to the Post-Dispatch, the deal would be worth $21 million over two years, replacing the $15 million club option on Carpenter for next season. The right-hander would thus be in St. Louis through 2013, his age-38 season. So it basically picks up next year's option and adds another $6 million for 2013.
  19. I forgot to mention that it is a laptop. I've never swapped out the video card of a laptop. Is it much different than a desktop?
  20. According to this page, the requirements for Skyrim are the following: Minimum System Requirements * OS: Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 * CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or Althon X2 2.0 GHz * RAM: 3 GB * HDD: 15 GB * Graphics: 512 MB card * Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible * DirectX: Version 9.0c Recommended System Requirements * OS: Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 * CPU: Core 2 Quad 3 GHz * RAM: 3 GB * HDD: 15 GB free disk space * Graphics: 512 MB Graphics Memory * Sound Card: DirectX 9 Compatible * DirectX: Version 9.0c Supported Graphics Cards: Minimum – 8800 GT Recommanded – Geforce GTX 460/Radeon 5850 I have a Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz with a nVidia 8600 GT. The processor may just barely make it, but the video card is just under spec. Should I drop the $60 to buy it on PC and hope it works, or just suck it up and play it on a console? I like Oblivion on PC and can't imagine using a controller to play Elder Scrolls.

  23. I got a telemarketing phone call at 9am on a Sunday once. They wanted to sell me new siding. Besides being a horrible time to call, they were calling my college dorm room phone. A woman in the AirTran Airway Porch on Sunday was wearing a Zing!Boom!Tarrarel! shirt from the BF.Net store. I think that is why we won. I would have said hi, but I'm too shy.
  24. Funketown wrote: That said, I desperately hope the NL does not adopt the DH. One of my favorite things about baseball is that it requires all players to participate in all aspects of the game. There's something oddly romantic to me about watching a dominant pitcher go to the plate and fail, or watching the brutish slugger fail to field a ball hit within a few feet of him. This failure just makes true "5-tool" players all the more special, and all the more enjoyable to watch.Instead of a DH, why not go defensive/offensive team? 9 guys play the field and 9 guys are hitting. And players would be allowed to play both. /sarcasim No, I don't always enjoy watching the pitcher hit. I also don't enjoy watching slappy SS or backup catchers hit. But it's part of the game.
  25. The wild card winner's first round is against the best record of a division winner not in their division. If the Braves are the WC, they play at the best record between the Central and West. If the Brewers or Cards win the WC, they will play the best record between the West and East.
