    Joe Lunardi had Bucky #2 in the South last night after Kansas/Arizona losses. Disappointed in that. If Villanova can get a quick exit somehow in the Big East Tournament and Bucky goes deep, I think Bucky can get the #1 in the Midwest and they'll move Wichita State to the East (Kansas was there, so not that geographically displaced with Wichita State going there). Would you guys rather have a #1 seed and play in Orlando or St. Louis on the opening weekend....or settle for the #2 seed and play in Milwaukee? Much rather be in Milwaukee, I think. The difference between a mostly home crowd and is bigger than the difference between playing a #7 or a #8.

    Because in 6 years of drafting and trades and attempts at building a team he has managed to accidentally put together the worst team in franchise history. Why would you have confidence in him with that track record? Drafting hasn't really been the problem. It's everything else GM related. Fine. Is he the guy you want handling the call when Boston calls and wants to trade up from 4 to 2 and he tries to work out a deal?

    They have a 4 game lead in the win column with 25 games to play. I think Philly gets at least 1 more win, perhaps 2, which means the Bucks have to go 5-20 the rest of the way to be in the coin flip for the worst seed. The reason you want the worst record is because there are 4 players in this draft who could be superstars (in my opinion) and then you can take the 12% chance of dropping to 5th (with the 2nd worst record) off the table.

    That is the big part of the rule. If umps start calling guys safe when the catcher is standing in the baseline waiting for the ball to get there, then there will be actual progress.

    Why is it that everyone the Bucks sign to a multi-year deal or extension immediately turns to a steaming pile? This has been the case for more than twenty years, so it's not all on one particular regime (unless you are counting Kohl). I'm not talking not performing up to the contract, I'm talking about either becoming injury riddled or garbage. The only player that I can think of that came in on a non rookie contract and produced was Ray Allen. Dunleavy would be another one, on a small scale. When you consistently spend your money on the single worst cost/value for free agents (mid level guys, who aren't needle movers) you're going to miss a lot.

    In 2011, we stayed at the Wyndham, it was a little pricier, but was walking distance from the park, right at the point of the 2-rivers intersection and right in downtown.

    I don't possibly know how you can say they will never do this or that. I would bet you didn't foresee them going from 27 million in 2005 to 101.2 in 2012. And given that their front office has said this year will break their record, I have little doubt they have a budget around 105 which could rise if they do manage to stay in contention. I also don't see how our payroll is ONLY matters relative to what other teams are doing. Would it mean that much more if the Dodgers were spending 100 million rather than the 260 in adjusted payroll they're spending? Anyway, I think some people have a fixed idea of what the Brewers can do and have pigeonholed them in a bit, and need to qualify anytime they exceed that. Regardless, I saw a lot of predictions(and do every year) that the Brewers could only spend 80 or 85 million and they're once again blowing those figures out of the water. For being competitive in free agency, your pool of FA money compared to everyone else's pool of FA money is all that truly matters -- well, that and market, location, state taxes, and.... you get the picture. The only real reason they are breaking the team payroll record this year is the infusion of the new national TV deal, which went up nearly 25 million in 2014.

    I could be wrong on these but for a rough estimate: Field Infield and Loge infield are the lower and 2nd deck seats, between 3rd and first around behind the plate. They have from 30-45 rows of seats in each section. Terrace box is the first 6 or so rows in the upper deck (400 level) which wraps around the entire upper deck.

    No offense taken. If and when I display ignorance on a subject, I'm fine with being steered in the right direction. Thankfully, I have not had drug use/abuse issues in my family, so I'm an outsider when it comes to diagnoses, treatment, causes, etc. In the days after Hoffman's death, the news reports sound as if he had been struggling with this for awhile. It's especially sad that he was so gifted in his art, and so tormented by his addiction. It is amazing how many of the great actors and performers seem to be afflicted with these sorts of troubles. As a society we are slowly learning and comprehending what goes on in the brain and it will take time for things to propagate to the masses.     I re-read this and didn't mean to sound like I was jumping on you, Jim. I have had family who've dealt with this disease and I just dislike when it is portrayed as a matter of willpower or a simple choice. I just want to spread that knowledge, the more people who know, the more people who can help.

    I know a lot of places run things for fantasy football. Never done baseball. Had a football draft at Karma on the east side awhile back. It was alright. Nothing special. They set us up downstairs on a day when no one would be there.

    It's not so simple as an addictive personality. It is a disease of the brain. No different from heart disease, it is about 50% genetics, and 50% lifestyle. Sorry, I see that sort of thing posted in lots of places, all too often. It is not as simple as making a choice. I'll get off my high horse now and say, it's a shame he died, but I hope his death brings to light this fact and that more people take the time to learn more about addiction, and learn that it isn't so simple as flipping a switch. http://www.addictionsandrecovery.org/is-addiction-a-disease.htm
