  1. I was told "When you pay off your bill in full, your seats will be locked in." or something along those lines. I did that in... November sometime. Well before the seats would've gone on sale to new 20 game customers. I suppose that's why I'm the most disappointed.
  2. I am just still so happy they didn't sign him last off season.
  3. So, I wanted to see if anyone had the same problem as I do with this. I finall spent the time looking at where my seats are for all 20 games this season. I renewed my 20 game pack this year, got the same package as last year (20 game, fan's choice, Terrace Box -- I couldn't make all the games in any of the set packs) and ended up getting much, much worse seats. Last season, we sat between 419 and 423 every game. This season, we don't sit in those sections at all, and some games (most notably vs the Cubs) my seats pushed all the way out to 406 and 433. I wrote my ticket agent, and got a canned response with my tickets that said "Tickets are more popular this year, we're sorry if your seats aren't as good as last year, fan's choice was popular" I spoke with another friend, who had the same problem, and their ticket agent told him that priority was given to the 20 game set packs over the fan's choice, regardless if you were a returning seat holder or not. I'm upset because I was told I'd get better seats if anything, due to being a returning seat holder (unless they sold a bunch of full 81 game seats - which I can understand), and I wasn't warned that by not getting a 20 game fixed pack. I feel like this may trend towards the Badgers football fans who are now being forced out of their season tickets by pricing.
  4. I think that holds true for about every pitcher in baseball. Bush never walked more than 3 all of last season, so I would have to say today was a fluke... my biggest concern today? Another game where the Brewers take the lead early, then the bats go to sleep the rest of the game.
  5. He had 1 start there last year. The start before that (in 2006) he gave up 1 run in 7 innings. So...
  6. Still at the hotel hungover probably. No road sweeps since... what... August 2004?
  7. Bush is really hitting the spots in the top of the zone today, Kendall isn't moving his glove, the ump just isn't calling them. I couldn't believe the 2-0 pitch to Soriano wasn't a strike... and he really didn't want to throw Soriano a low pitch on 2-0. Lets get back to throwing strikes and getting guys out now, 31.
  8. I wish I could find a barrel man fitted had. Never have been able to.
  9. Riske works it 1-2-3. Nice job. I'm baffled why they sat Braun considering his spot was leading off the 9th. Seemed like a perfect spot to double switch and pull Kapler in favor of Gwynn in CF. edit: I'm dumb. Braun made the last out.
  10. Joe Posnanski (great baseball writer)
  11. Yes, they have the HD feeds. They redid it, maybe 2-3 weeks ago now, before march madness started.
  12. He was caught on the wrong side of the bag (in foul territory) and veered off to avoid killing Pie (who was also in foul territory), and thats why he went for the tag. I don't want to see Prince going to the bag and having a Derrick Lee broken-wrist injury. On the things that worked, that I hope never happen again this season: Position players bunting with two strikes. Stealing 3b with two outs. Good results, but terrible decisions.
  13. I would say that is about right. At 6'5", Lee has about 18" (at least) more reach than Prince does at first base (for example), thats to the left, the right, up, and stretching towards the IF as well. I'd bet he catches 10 balls a year that Prince would have to scoop out of the dirt, not to mention what a great scoop he has.
  14. BBC redid their interior and added about... oh... 12 (?) HD tv's all around the bar.
  15. Prince was peeved, he got the guy out at 1B and he was called safe. Billy did very well, made a couple of nice plays. I don't even remember Braun getting the ball at all.
  16. The BBC on the east side (north and farwell), I frequent there quite often. Also, BW3's downtown is where I went today. Had some wings, had a beer. Fun times.
  17. Gwynn is the hero of the game - but, he did barely hit the ball out of the infield, aside from his sac fly. Yost has his position players bunt with two strikes yet again. Good outcome, terrible decision. Was it just me, or was the ump's zone all over the place once Sheets and Zambrano got pulled?
  18. Took today off, I'll be heading someplace in Walkers point or downtown (most likely either Steny's or BW3's) to watch the game. Hopefully it gets played.
  19. Clearly you missed when this happened Anyway, to be serious, they won't give cans out at the park. For some reason its a big no no. Some of the beer vendors do have high life, though - you just have to get up from your seat to get it.

  21. I would consider it a wash, all things considered (I mean, Estrada wasn't that bad last year - especially the first half of the season... who else would've caught for the 'crew?)... I would consider the Brewers having come out on top had Greg Aquino never pitched for the MLB team.
  22. Only 3 games wrong in my bracket. Miami, Butler and W Virginia (I had a thing for 10 seeds, apparently). Picked both the upsets right today too! What a couple of great games!
  23. Anytime Corey Patterson gets AB's over Jay Bruce this season against the 'crew is a plus for the Brewers. Go Dusty!
  24. He has the same chance as R.A. Dickey had of being called up even though we had a bullpen/starting pitcher crisis last year.
  25. That may be the best non-signing of the Doug Melvin era.
