  1. Bud Light, suck one. Yeah, I'm a Will Ferrel fan. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. I'm out for Fridays, just too much stuff going on on the weekends for me to be a reliable participant.
  3. www.casualcollective.com Addicting. Trust me. especially MPDTD
  4. I love BA. Love his style, of letting the game talk instead of himself, and getting excited when it warrants it. Favorite call of the year (despite the outcome of the game...) Scroll down to September 3rd, Counsell's 3 run triple
  5. Clearly, as a 29 year old guy without any man boobs to speak of, I would flash the jumbotron. In hopes of starting a trend.
  6. I'd be in for a second team on Thursdays could also make Wednesday games.
  7. You should be able to get a hookup that goes from any normal video card out into a normal vga (yellow cord, right?) hookup. The biggest question is, what type of output does your video card on the computer have? Just the standard vga? S-video? Edit: Found this page which explains what you'd need pretty well. Take a look And what you'd probably need to buy
  8. Remind her that this is what people think of when they think of Cubs fans.
  9. Got in, got 6 seats for Friday's game, at that point the Saturday game was SRO. Not sure if my friends and I will try to go Sat or not. We may just find a sportsbar in Boston to watch the game wat.
  10. I lost all respect for St Louis fans when they decided to spent their time starting the wave in a game vs the Brewers (the last weekend of the season) in the bottom of the 9th in a game they were down 2 with the bases loaded. The Spizeo game. When Coco blew his 2nd save as a Brewer. I had a good time there. I want to try to go to Cincinatti or Pittsburgh this year. The best I've ever heard, though, is Baltimore. I have never heard a bad thing about Camden Yards.
  11. Can someone explain to me how charging less people is going to take more money?
  12. I really see it as Sheets, Yo, Soup, Bush, Capuano. Villy gets put back in the pen.
  13. Brewers opening day bullpen last year: Aquino, Francisco Cordero, Elmer Dessens, Brian Shouse, Derrick Turnbow, Carlos Villanueva, Matt Wise. Obviously, Dessens was dropped relatively quickly (he only pitched 15 innings as a Brewer) in favor of Spurling, and Aquino was sent down for Gallardo (or was it Parra?) All I can say, is that right now, our bullpen looks much more stable and reliable than last season. No innings from McClung, Aquino, Dessens, Spurling, Balfour (there's more I'm forgetting I'm sure). They may not have pitched that many innings individually, but they did total nearly 100. (50 for Spurling, 15 for Aquino, 15 for Dessens are all I looked up)
  14. I would be interested, depending on the night.
  15. If they use the pen wisely, and don't overwork guys it could be great. The question is, whether management can get beyond "Soandso pitches the 7th, Soandnotso pitches the 8th, and Closerguy pitches the 9th." If Turnbow doesn't pitch back to back (and especially 3 days in a row) games, he'll be great. Finally, I think, we have the depth to do that. Mota was great the last few years when he didn't pitch multiple innings. He could pitch a few days in a row, just not 2 (or 3) innings in a game. Stats bear these things out. The question is, whether or not they will be used. I'm excited for the bullpen this year. I just hope it won't be used like last years.
  16. The frozen tundra may very well be a bog this weekend.
  17. Finals. 2 hours of my time somehow explains how well I have learned the concepts, and idea's of an entire semester. No, wait, it doesn't. It decides if I have memorized the correct formula's from the book, not if I actually understand the things I have learned. (which you could look up in under 30 seconds in a book or online)
  18. Black pepper, sgt. Black pepper and paremesean. Delicious.
  19. 1) If Tony Gwynn, Jr was named Richard Smith, no one would want him playing anywhere. The fact that his dad was great doesn't make him great. Name 5 above average son's of former players. No, The Boone's don't count. 2) Gross would play ahead of Gwynn, no matter what. 3) Hall's struggles at the plate were as much because he played 2 months on an ankle he couldn't plant on than anything else.
  20. Yeah. Those wonderful Red Sox are selling their single game tickets for every home series in April and May today. Except for the Yankees series.... and the Brewers series. I'm baffled by that one.
  21. Water or OJ before bed works very well. Also taking a multivitamin has helped me personally.
  22. The Trop is the Astrodome built 25 years later... only... worse.
  23. My roommate is playing his music so loud in the basement that it literally is making my desk shake.
  24. How many sweet pepper 'n egg sandwiches is Duke gonna eat tonight?
  25. Why would you want an 80 year old oft injuried OF for $3-4 M a year who hits lefties well when we have a non-injury prone young OF who kills lefties already on the team for the same price? If we're not going to sign an every day LF I can't imagine signing a guy to platoon when we already have the pieces in place to do it.
