  1. Click their name. Select Add Foe. Then you won't see their posts. Makes for a much more pleasant Brewerfan experience.
  2. It was incredible. Here's a breakdown:
  3. I doubt it would be enough. We don't know how much of an impact juiced balls are having because everyone started worrying about launch angle at the same time. We have a great idea. Home runs are up 50% in AAA this year. They started using the MLB ball this year. Skill changes or thoughts around it don't magically propagate to the entire MLB population at the drop of a hat. A change in the baseball does. http://owlbb.com/juiced-ball.php
  4. Was there a corresponding move?
  5. So, you're incorrect here. Selig did offer Molitor arbitration, even if it was in the last hour of his opportunity to do so. Molitor turned it down and signed with Toronto. https://shepherdexpress.com/sports/brew-crew-confidential/messy-divorce-brewers-paul-molitor/
  6. Was Bando bad because Bando was bad? Or, because Selig was uber-cheap at the time and constrained him? I honestly don’t know. Probably a little of Column A and Column B. No, Bando was bad because Bando was BAD. Selig wasn't cheap. It wasn't until they turned the team over completely that they got extremely cheap. But Bando was absolutely terrible. If you went by how he handled the Molitor situation alone he was a disgrace, but there were soooo many more examples. And they went from a team that paid for elite talent to one that didn't when Wendy and Bando were running the team. It's funny, if you look back at it now, without knowing what Molitor would do over the next 6 seasons, you would've been run out of BF.net for signing him to the deal he signed for -- 3 years, 12 million - which would've been ~13% of the teams salary - for an oft injured single-position playing 36 year old.
  7. 2019, July 30th. 1 game out of first. 2018, July 30th, 1 game out of first. Coincidence? I think not.

  9. Braun breaking in on a ball off the wall
  10. I am hoping for another Slamadino tonight.
  11. I just field edited a 12-mile section of the Ice Age Trail on Friday (I'd planned it for 2 months, Friday was the hottest day of the year). I can never fathom when I hike how many people are unprepared - wearing flip flops, no sunblock, no water, no snacks. I'm heading to Zion/Bryce in September, but sadly won't be able to backpack, everything booked up on me before I could had a chance to get my permits.
  12. I had never heard of this but am very intrigued. Looks like a great tool for a small kitchen. It really is amazing. Chicken and pork loin are so easy and simple to make (and make in large quantities!)
  13. Yes this creeps me out every game I go to. They all seem to have fingers hovering over the trigger too Warning Track Power, I’m not exactly sure how you would prefer them handling it other than in their hands. I’m honestly curious what you would prefer them to do with it if holding it is intimidating? Brooks, if you were to hold a gun similar to the one that MPD is carrying, your hand would be holding the grip, which is right by the trigger. It may appear that their finger is hovering over the trigger since their hand is on the grip right next to the trigger, but that’s just where your hand has to be placed to be able to pull the trigger if needed. I can assure you that they aren’t just hovering their finger over the trigger. Their trigger finger (which is what you’re referring to) is resting above the trigger or on the trigger guard since that’s really the only way to in a way “relax” your hand when holding a rifle. 1) Not carry them at all. There's no reason for police officers to have assault rifles around Miller Park. 2) Not actively carry them in their hands. Again, these things have shoulder straps, holsters, other ways to carry them. When these idiots walk around with these rifles in their hands POINTING THEM AT PEOPLE, they are displaying completely incorrect and inappropriate firearm safety.
  14. He was put on waivers and the pistons claimed him. I don't think the Bucks had a shot to get him. Very interesting the Pelicans gave up on him. NBA coaches must view him much differently than fans Turns out being 7 feet tall and being completely unwilling to play defense is a downside.
  15. 2011 at the ASB, the team was 49-43. They lost their first two after the break, then proceeded to go 36-12 over their next 48 games, to bring the record to 85-57. I wouldn't mind a run like that this year
  16. I'll never forget Sabathia hustling to Milwaukee and taking his normal turn in the rotation, so he could get two starts before the All Star Break (Doug Melvin told him he could wait and start later that week if he wanted). That crowd on that Monday night of 35K+.
  17. Lucroy just got destroyed by a horribly illegal slide. Thankfully the run didn't count but Marisnick should get suspended
  18. Or at least no injury concerns that we were aware of........until today So play the final series a man down because...I have no idea why. IL Braun and bring someone else up. Exactly. He'll miss like 5 games with a 10 day stint right now.
  19. When I was in Amsterdam bikes, peds and dogs all used much smaller sidewalks and it all seemed to flow pretty well. But bikes also all had bells on them and peds would move to one side when they heard them. Even tourists picked up on this pretty quickly. I often felt bikes should be mandated to have bells on them if they want to use sidewalks because you just can't hear them coming up on you. It's hard to get out of the way for someone when you don't know they're there. I'll slow down, and call out loudly, "On your left" to anyone I'm passing. Half the time they proceed to turn around over their left shoulder and take two steps directly into my path.
  20. We have a nice trail here along the lake for bikers and walkers. However, I would say about 50% of bikers ride on the busy 4 lane road next to the trail. A couple years ago a biker on the road was hit by a car and injured. There was uproar on the local Facebook groups, etc. about the biker being on the road when there is a separate and protected trail specifically for bikers 20 feet away. The biker crowd said they preferred the road to avoid the walkers on the trail. Point is, you can't win. As someone who cycles on a road bike, regularly at 15-20 MPH who's feet are clipped into pedals, I will always prefer a road to a busy "multi-use" path. Between people walking 4-wide, uncontrolled kids, and leashed dogs running from side to side across the path smelling everything, it's almost impossible to bike down a multi-use path at any reasonable pace without risk of injuring myself or others.
