  1. I've always thought Middleton was hugely underrated by Bucks fans in general, he just needed the ball out of his hands (and a non 1990's offense) to truly shine. Snell's inability to miss a shot has really opened up the floor and Middleton makes the right play (and moves the ball) so quickly it's amazing the difference in the offense. I didn't think Middleton would get his shot back this well this season. Most guys who have leg injuries take awhile to truly find the stroke on their jumper again, because they don't get as much lift on their shot as they're used to.
  2. Top 4 seeds have a double-bye in the Big10 Tournament. Badgers play at ~5:30 on Friday, vs the winner of Indiana v Iowa (10/7 game)
  3. If they wanted him to be a future piece, or if there was even a remote chance of that, they should've signed him for more than 6 weeks, or a team option for next year. He's a volume 2-point shooter who can't really shoot. "Taking a flyer" is what the Heat have done with their roster, and they are now 18-2 over their last 20 games.... playing 4 guys from the D-League. Their last D-Leaguer they brought up was the exact same thing (a 31% 3-point shooter - that's bad). This team has no vision nor realization that 3-point shooting matters in the NBA now.
  4. Would've rather had them sign someone young from the D-League. Take a flyer, see if they can find the next Isiah Thomas. All Terrance Jones is going to do is give them 1-2 more wins this year which could very well be the difference between the 6th pick and the 10th pick in the draft.
  5. It's the media, of course it's inconsistent. Have you seen the Hall of Fame voting? Did Tim Raines suddenly get better after being retired for 14 years?
  6. I was at the game in Tempe on Saturday. Thames is 5' 11' with cleats on. Just doesn't look like a first baseman. I came away a bit concerned with that signing. I mean, it wasn't that long ago the Brewers had a 5'9" all-star 1B.
  7. Rashard Vaughn has been on the team all season. He can play. No need to bring in a malcontent like Jennings.
  8. If my internet sleuthing is correct, Uke is on the mic tomorrow!
  9. Snell is a restricted Free Agent after this season, which, given the Bucks history with RFA's means Hammond will offer him about 2x what he'd get on the FA market instead of waiting for him to get an offer and matching if that number is below our max they'd want to keep him for.
  10. There were a ton of empty seats at opening day last year, even before the Giants turned the game into a blowout. But, there's always a ton of empty seats at opening day, because everyone is wandering the concourse (or the parking lots) in a drunken stupor
  11. Gard will tighten the lineups, just like he did last season in the Big 10 Tournament and NCAA tournament. He went from playing 9 guys all season to playing 7 in the tournament, outside of the game Hayes & Brown both got into foul trouble.
  12. 6 straight games shooting 40% or worse. That's not good. Vitto Brown is 9/46 over those 6 games. 19%. He might need to get pulled from the starting lineup.
  13. I've watched every game but two this year, and his deficiencies are not being overstated. He can score, but he cannot do ANYTHING on defense, he consistently completely loses his man ball watching, gets stuck in no-mans-land (not helping and not guarding anyone) and he doesn't box out or rebound at all. http://stats.nba.com/team/#!/1610612749/players-advanced/?sort=NET_RATING&dir=1 http://stats.nba.com/lineups/advanced/#!?CF=MIN*G*200&Season=2016-17&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&TeamID=1610612749&GroupQuantity=3&sort=NET_RATING&dir=-1 http://stats.nba.com/lineups/advanced/#!?CF=MIN*G*100&Season=2016-17&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&TeamID=1610612749&GroupQuantity=4&sort=NET_RATING&dir=-1 For 3 man lineups, 200 minutes minimum, he's on 10 of the 16 lineups who've performed negatively, 0 of the top 12 who've performed positively. For 4 man lineups, 100 minutes minimum, he's on 12 of the 13 lineups who've performed negatively, 2 of the top 10 who've performed positively.
  14. Jabari has been their 4th best player this season. 3rd, maybe. Giannis and Monroe have clearly been #1 and #2.
  15. Just disappointed in the abilities so quickly with Rey and Finn immediately. Or the inability by Kylo Ren who was trained. The fight scene was absolutely brutal. When the light saber flew through the air when Rey and Kylo were fighting for it, I desperately wanted it to fly into Luke's hand.
  16. More than likely it is condensation dripping from the cold porcelain.
  17. With the current power structure in the organization? Nope. They suffer from a complete lack of forward thinking and an inability to evaluate talent.
  18. Considering Hoffman is a closer and the others are starters why even compare them? However, Hoffman has a significantly better ERA than Mussina as well as a better WHIP, H9, K9 and both had great control. Hoffman is 2nd on saves list and next closest is 123 behind him. Hoffman +2 in AS nods, +1 in CY runner-up (twice), 2x finished top 10 in MVP to Mussina 0. Mussina had an ERA north of 4 in 4 of his final 9yrs and never made one AS game over that span. Mussina won numerous GG but closers will never win those anyway Because they were better pitchers than Hoffman? If you can't see that there's no point in furthering this conversation. Value matters. Hoffman wasn't as valuable. Saves are stupid. Mussina literally pitched 3x as many innings as Hoffman. Letting closers in because they put up good stats is like letting in a guy like Kevin Mench because he mashed lefties for 10 years. Trevor Hoffman's similar players: Lee Smith (896) Mariano Rivera (883) Francisco Rodriguez (871) Jeff Reardon (852) Joe Nathan (847) Roberto Hernandez (837) Bruce Sutter (834) * Doug Jones (825) John Franco (822) Billy Wagner (807) Mussina's: Andy Pettitte (912) Bartolo Colon (876) CC Sabathia (874) Juan Marichal (866) * David Wells (863) Curt Schilling (860) Tim Hudson (857) Jim Palmer (855) * Carl Hubbell (855) * Kevin Brown (844) * - Signifies Hall of Famer ERA is a flawed statistic, it doesn't evaluate players who play in hitters parks in hitters divisions (like Mussina) the same way it does players who play in pitchers parks in pitchers divisions (like Hoffman) Mussina's ERA+ was 123. Hoffman's was 141. Does a 13% difference in ERA negate 2,400 more innings?
  19. Vlad triples Larry Walker's vote count. Sigh. The idea that Trevor Hoffman was a better pitcher than Mike Mussina or Curt Schilling is hilarious as well.
  20. I expect nothing less from John Hammond in the free agency market. Especially restricted free agents. 9 years. The best FA acquisition he's made is..... Mike Dunleavy.
  21. You can Chromecast pretty much everything you'd view in a browser to your TV.
  22. Could he see what he hit? No? He could only see the turf? Illegal hit.

  24. Oh, I'll add one. May 7th. Better known as Aaron Hill day. 3HR including a 10th inning Salami.
