  1. I'm surprised they spelled his name correctly 4 times in 6 years to trade him.
  2. I've always been a Cortes guy, myself.
  3. Wait, are you saying drawing on gum wrappers is NOT the secret to meeting women? Gosh darn it.
  4. Just for further reference: 2015: .960 OPS at home, .835 on the road 2016: 1.065 OPS at home, .771 on the road
  5. They still make it, it's still at Pick 'n Save's around Wisconsin.... and I personally love the stuff. It's tart, rather than overly sweet, and my bitter old man tastebuds like it
  6. And somehow the world didn't end having interleague games every day.
  7. Just an amazingly boring game tonight... But what a beautiful stadium.
  8. Also, it's Star Wars weekend, and they just dropped a "Lightsabermetrics" trivia
  9. At the game tonight. Place is pretty empty. King Felix sections are awesome.
  10. Had a great Sunday. Off to Seattle today!
  11. In 60 hours I'll be on a train heading to Glacier National Park. Then a weekend in Seattle (with a Brewers game on Saturday the 20th!)

  13. For gmail on the android phone at least, you can set it up to view individual accounts seprately (or view "All inboxes") in a combined view. This is done by tapping the 'hamburger' in the top left, and then selecting the account & inbox. Under settings on that same menu (way down at the bottom), you can turn notifications on and off for individual accounts, you could also set the school account "inbox type" to be a "Priority Inbox" which changes the notifications (I'm not sure how, exactly, though). You could also turn notifications off for other accounts there if he wanted.
  14. The first guy his stance reminded me of:
  15. He actually does it quite a bit. You'll see it a couple times a game when he starts. I've seen him kick his leg out, but never fully sitting on the ground like he was during that pitch.
  16. Loved rooting for Jeremy. So glad he'll get a playoff run in Texas. I'll definitely be rooting for the Rangers this post-season.
  17. Did anyone else just see Maldy in a split behind the plate? I haven't watched many games this year, but can't remember seeing that
  18. Hey there, I am more than happy to help as best as I can. For the easiest way to get to Miller Park, there are bus's that run very close to the stadium from downtown. If you're okay with public transportation, that's a pretty simple way. http://www.ridemcts.com/ Secondly, Uber (or a taxi) is always a choice. Thirdly, lots of bars offer Brewer's shuttles to and from the game. Things can get hectic and you might have a long wait after the game however. http://onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/millerparkshuttles.html Some places may have cancelled them, so I'd suggest calling the establishment beforehand to be sure they still offer a shuttle. As for places to eat, my personal downtown recommendations are as follows: - Rumpus Room (a bit higher price than others here, but good food and a great beer list) - Swinging Door - Smoke Shack (solid BBQ) - Rustico - good thin crust pizza and a solid beer menu right on the Milwaukee River As for watering holes, depending on what you're looking for (College aged people, or an older crowd or a quieter pub) there are quite a few spots. I'd suggest the Rumpus Room & Swinging door as quieter spots downtown, as well as the Milwaukee Ale House (bigger, but usually pretty chill, also amazing outdoor seating) One "hidden gem" spot a little ways from downtown: Bryant's Cocktail lounge -- depression era cocktail lounge, with amazing cocktails, sit at the bar and watch these guys work
  19. If Arcia is the player they think he is, the team just lit 10 million (at least) on fire.
  20. You are overemphasizing Jeffress' substance issues. Jeffress failed his last drug test in 2009. By his own admission he was using to deal with epilepsy. The Blue Jays made him get treatment, found a better medication for him and subjected him to extra drug tests. By all accounts the marijuana use is far in the past with Jeffress. I agree with the rest of your assessment on this trade, but it's been over 7 years since his last drug test. I feel like he has that under control. He knows what will happen if he fails another test. Absolutely NOTHING will happen if he fails another drug test. MLBPA does NOT suspend players for testing positive for marijuana.
  21. Kirk caught that one completely flat footed to throw home.
  22. He's 1 more failed drug test away from a lifetime ban. Yes he's good lately, but that has to play in a little bit That's simply not true at all. MLB treats "Drugs of abuse" completely differently than the Minor leagues and it treats marijuana differently from other drugs of abuse as well. Basically, Jeffress has a clean slate. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/marijuana-and-the-joint-drug-agreement/
