  1. Bartolo, baby! That is all.
  2. It's pretty rare for guys so young to go through this. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2015/7/1/8859137/thoracic-outlet-syndrome-pitcher-effectiveness It seems like something that they haven't perfected the surgery for quite yet.... as guys keep having recurring symptoms.
  3. Considering a typical trip to a specialist will run close to $3,000 I doubt you'd want that. Honestly, that sucks, and your doctors need to get their crap together. Whomever is referring you to a specialist should be able to refer you to one that is in network.
  4. I think the point is that between Della, Tele, and Henson the Bucks have $30M tied up with Giannis approaching restricted free agency. I know the cap is going up, but I want to make sure that the money is there for him along with one other star player. Henson is a sunk cost, but between Della and Tele that's $19M/year that could have gone to a better player. They will be approximately 25% of the salary cap next season. That's nothing to worry about. Giannis will get maxed, and be making less than all 3 of them combined.
  5. Well, no, he's actually a dirty player. Call it "scrappy" all you want, but he does stuff that doesn't belong on a basketball court. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPPhtqjtxKs None of those plays have anything to do with grit or scrappy or toughness. They are dirty. They are plays where if you did them during a pickup game, you'd get punched.
  6. "Drugs of abuse" gets you an instant ban. Marijuana is not considered among those. Those drugs are listed as “amphetamine and its analogs (including, but not limited to, methamphetamine and MDMA), cocaine, LSD, opiates (heroin, codeine and morphine), and PCP.” There's been whispers of OJ doing coke for awhile. It wouldn't shock me.
  7. Well, Wade still can't shoot and there's no spot for him to play in Milwaukee with Middleton, Giannis and Jabari all wanting 30+ minutes. It would be the most Bucks thing ever to bring him in, start him and wonder why Giannis' growth stagnates by bringing in a ball dominant guy and you have no offensive spacing by adding another guy who can't shoot.
  8. really the best evidence is a yearbook, which could very well be photo shopped, to the best of my knowledge the original has yet to been shown. I doubt we will ever get the answer if he is 23, but i would have to believe that the bucks did everything they could to verify his age before taking him #10. To think someone on the internet would have been resources than the GM of the bucks doesn't make sense. It's more the billionaire owners of the bucks vs. Everyone on the internet. I'd say that's close to a toss up.... even though I think he's 19 (and I'm still disappointed by the pick).
  9. The runners were going and Perez tried to score from 2d on a wild pitch and was out on a close play. Close? Perez was about 6 or 7 feet from home plate and just starting his slide when Blanton received the throw. He was also almost walking into home plate like he'd hit a homer. He slid into home and barely made it to the plate.
  10. I stand and I wait until between batters to go to my seat. Always. If I'm in the middle of a longer row, I'll wait until between innings (and make my friends do the same) I have no qualms yelling "DOWN IN FRONT" to people who won't sit down and insist on standing and talking to one another. Go ahead, give me the glare. Oh, and if you snuck down to sit in a better seat, and you're in my seat, don't pretend to be shocked when I come to sit in it. Just get up and leave.
  11. Well, it's pretty simple. The difference is they will have their own hand picked coaches with limited time working with their young guys... or they'll have TeamB's hand picked coaches with limited time working with.... oh yeah, TeamB's players.
  12. They should be getting two new players shooting the three this year: Jabari and Giannis. If they don't, nothing else really matters.
  13. Maker is more than just a big. He's a fluid 7 footer who can handle the ball and shoot. He's also an incredibly intelligent and hard working basketball player. I don't like the pick, but they shot for the moon and I can't blame them for doing that. I also can't wait for him to give halftime interviews. http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Thon-Maker-Exclusive-Post-NBA-Draft-Decision-Interview-5417/ Do you think [scouts] been able to see the best of what you have to offer as a prospect, or are there specific things you can show them in the pre-draft process that might change their perception about you? With that in mind, what kind of a shooter are you right now?
  14. Monroe doesn't fit with the current team. You simply cannot play two horrible defenders at the same time and hope to win in the NBA, and both Jabari and Monroe are horrible. They thought he would grow, would try, and would become a better player when freed from playing next to Drummond. None of that happened. All he did was yell "AND ONE" every time he missed and not get back on defense.
  15. Overheard from someone in their early 20's today: "So, what was Watergate? Something bad with water pollution or something?"
  16. As it's related to weather, I've experienced lake effect snow in Milwaukee quite a few times in my 10 years here, but today was the first time I experienced lake effect fog-mist-rain.... of course, I biked to work and (as a result) biked directly into it.
  17. This might be my biggest pet peeve. There is a HUGE area, where NO ONE WALKS, literally 8 feet away, and you decide to stop and have your conversation in the flow of foot traffic. This also goes for the people who stop 3 feet after getting a stadium give away to open it up and look at it.
  18. This has absolutely nothing to do with Millennials. I've seen plenty of people in their 50's doing similar things. Americans, in general, have lost respect for other human beings and no longer display common courtesy or common sense. I no longer move out of someone's way if they are walking with their head down and texting. If they run into me, I will comment to them, "Oh, sorry, you didn't see me there."
  19. Where fielders are should be a part of baserunning, but it's hard for a baserunner to know exactly where a fielder is (if he's peeking at the fielder, he's ripe for a pickoff) Second base is no-man's land where you can't really hear the coach to begin with. He absolutely should've gone back to 2B, as, you know, you NEVER make the first (or last) out at 3B.
  20. JJ Hardy spent exactly 21 days in the minors to allow the Brewers to gain another full year of service time.
  21. In Nolan Ryan's day you didn't have guys standing on top of the plate wearing body armor. I dare say a much higher % of those HBPs by Ryan were intentional than the MLB average this season. I also dare say that Nolan Ryan has much better control than the average MLB pitcher this year. Well, he holds the MLB record for walks, and was notoriously wild. Oh, and he doesn't just hold the walks record, he walked 2795 batters. Second place is 1833. That might be the most unbreakable record in MLB history.
  22. I've never seen a fielder do more things wrong on one play than Villar did there. Seriously. Drops line drive. Doesn't immediately throw home. Misses tag on runner. Gets force out. (This was okay) Gets guy in a rundown who is already out.... Instead of throwing to third.
