  1. He’s one of my favorite opposing pitchers. Works fast and keeps it interesting with how he varies his windup and quick pitches. I like him even more after the way he pitched tonight.
  2. You could tell Counsell really wanted that one. I get the impression he hasn’t forgotten the Giants series in MKE.
  3. Bradley swings at more pitches out of the strike zone than the rest of this team combined.
  4. Just tuned in, Burnes looks like he’s dealing. Great sequence to Posey.
  5. Am I the only one who wants the NLCS rematch with LA? There’s a reason why SF has so many championships, their ballpark is where your postseason hopes go to die. I’d be just as happy to see them bounced in the wild card game as LA.
  6. I did a double take when I looked at the standings and saw the Reds are only 71-61. They are lucky to be in competition for any playoff spot at all with that record. If they were in the AL they would be neck and neck with the Seattle Mariners, who are 9 over .500 and are facing 1-2% playoff odds. The Brewers are in cruise control mode now, they can go .500 in a September or even a few games under .500 and it will be of zero consequence to the end result.
  7. There was a brief moment after Cohen took over that I thought the Mets might turn things around as a franchise. Nope. I was wrong.
  8. Miami is going to benefit more than anyone else from the new endorsement rules. Lots of money to be made by playing football for Miami. I agree that OSU is unlikely to leave the Big Ten. It’s too bad that the Big 12 blew up because I think Nebraska probably wishes they never joined the Big Ten.
  9. Why would we need a 2B in '23? Wong has a team option that will almost certainly be exercised. Forgot about Wong's option.
  10. If the SEC invited Ohio State tomorrow, what would happen?
  11. Winning over 100 games in a season isn't that big of a deal... Signed, The 2001 Seattle Mariners Yep, the goal is not to get bounced in the 5-game divisional round. That means we need everyone healthy and well-rested with the rotation lined up to go against Atlanta. It's a new scenario for Stearns/Counsell since they were fighting up to the last game in past Septembers, but I assume they will sacrifice some wins in order to get ready for the postseason.
  12. Keston is OPSing >1.000 in AAA this year and he's getting time at 2B again. He has a future at 2B if he can get better at defense. He's only 24. There's no rush. Let him play all of 2022 in AAA. We're going to need a 2B in 2023. He's under team control through 2025.
  13. Ump wanted to go home early I guess
  14. Vogelbach seems like a slightly better hitter than Tellez to me, although Rowdy has more upside in the long run.
  15. So much talk about Keston Hiura. I remember that guy.
  16. Must be the 4th or 5th time they’ve pulled off a “win of the year” type game. Second time in a week.
  17. I hope so. It’s painful to watch him at the plate and his lack of plate discipline really stands out on this patient Brewers team.
  18. I’m glad I watch the Brewers from the west coast, otherwise I would never see the end of a Brewers game.
  19. Bradley is an expensive Keon Broxton. Wong, on the other hand, was a brilliant acquisition.
  20. Agreed, if I’m a Reds fan I’m feeling pretty good about the playoffs. Nobody expects them to pass Milwaukee. Even a sweep leaves a 4.5 deficit which is hard to overcome.
  21. That was some good baseballing by the Crew. The two strike approach of this team is impressive.
  22. If you’re the Reds, you just keep winning series and let everything else shake out as it may. Nobody thought the Padres would stumble through the easy part of their schedule, but they did. From the Brewers’ perspective…don’t get swept, don’t get injured.
