  1. A fortunate drop gets us the ball back
  2. They certainly do not deserve to win this game, but there is still time.
  3. If there was ever a time to break a big run this is it.
  4. Umm...normally you have to touch the guy to get a holding penalty
  5. That was an odd time for a pass play when they are so good at 4th and short.
  6. Cephus is the MVP of this game so far.
  7. Starting to open up the playbook a bit. Time for the D to get us the ball back.
  8. Wow that was a terrible pass
  9. That was less than impressive. Got the 3 at least.
  10. Minnesota has some hope of keeping it a game. Harbaugh is going to lose by 40 to Alabama.
  11. The final four teams were awesome to watch, similar to UVA the past few years. With the Bucks being good and the Badgers being bad my attention has definitely shifted to the NBA.
  12. One call, that's all! My information is simply based upon Cincinnati and Kansas City both signing TV deals in the $50-60 million range and the Brewers having more total viewers. I have no idea how many years the Brewers have left on their contract. Perhaps the marketing department at FS Wisconsin needs an overhaul.
  13. The Brewers' current TV contract is a disaster. They should be getting $60+ million per year from TV and instead they are getting ~$20-25 million. The Reds didn't just decide to spend more money out of nowhere, they signed a new TV deal that gave them $25-30 million more per year of spending money. Maximizing revenue for the sport depends upon the most popular teams being good. There is absolutely no incentive to change that. If the Yankees and Dodgers were perennial last place teams it would be disastrous for MLB's bottom line. The Dodgers' bad ownership situation lasted about 3 seconds when the fans got angry. Nobody cares if a few thousand people in Pittsburgh stop watching baseball. The issue is unique to MLB due to the importance of local TV, hard to compare to other sports.
  14. Just because you can afford a contract doesn't mean you should sign it. This guy hasn't spent a second thinking about what these contracts would mean for the Brewers in 2022 or 2023. I mean seriously, how many times to we have to watch the 'big spending' middle market teams crash and burn after getting "A" offseason grades by the pundits?
  15. I'm coming to realize that the combination of making the playoff a big deal and making it nearly impossible to get into the playoff is a problem. Maybe the committee should just pick the 2 best performers from the NY6 winners to play for the championship.
  16. I have no idea how Seattle manages to repeatedly snatch victory from the jaws of defeat but they appear to be on their way to doing it again.
  17. What the White Sox have done this offseason is pretty smart, none of these contracts are big enough to significantly restrict their flexibility in the years to come. But they have to make up ~20 wins on the Indians and ~30 on the Twins. Not easy, but they have probably done enough to get over .500 and make things interesting. Which seems to be the intention. Way better than throwing $30+ million at Machado.
  18. Thanks for this. Funny to see Ronnie Belliard show up, I guess being on the 2002 Brewers was a curse.
  19. I can’t think of many guys who bounced back after being as bad as Shaw for as long as Shaw has been bad for. Especially guys on the wrong side of 30. I think it was a mistake for Toronto to pay him this much money when guys like Ryon Healy can be had for much cheaper. I really hope I’m proven wrong because Travis seems like a good guy, but he won’t be missed. He probably shouldn’t have gotten an MLB contract from anyone.
  20. I just think having a “Gameday” pitch tracking animation on the scoreboard is going to be awesome and greatly enhance the experience in person at the ballpark. When a pitcher throws a great pitch the fans are going to know right away. Whereas right now if the umpire calls a strike on the corner the fans have no idea if it was a good pitch or a bad call.
  21. Are the White Sox better than the Cubs now?
