    I agree, we don't know if the Brewers would have actually scored or not. However, getting picked off is still giving away a "free" out, which affects the rest of the inning, along with Looper's pitch count and the overall momentum of the game (if you believe in momentum). I also hate when announcers say "that would have been a (hit/double/HR) in any other park..."

    I would like to see Escobar play another year in the minors. The issue with Hardy is that he is a fan favorite and it's going to be hard to let him go. He continues to improve as a hitter and has played great defense this year despite his limited range. I'd like to see him move to 2B if Weeks doesn't pan out.

    I think he is, but he probably won't be the next 2 years. It upsets me that people will hold that against him.

    The whole Nationals situation is somewhat troubling. Despite the new stadium, they are 13th in the NL in attendance and last in the league in TV ratings with an amazingly pathetic .39 rating, which is about 9,000 households/game. In addition, they have virtually no chance of competing with the rest of the NL East anytime soon.

    I've defended Rickie and I think he should be starting. However, baserunning mistakes really bother me.

    As soon as I saw Hall come out of the dugout to congratulate Russell Branyan on his home runs, I knew things would be all right. Since Hall is my favorite player, I still wore my Hall jersey to the Orioles game where Hall struck out in the bottom of the 9th. I had to defend myself when the nearby fans wanted Branyan and were calling for Yost to be fired for putting Hall in, but I knew Billy would get it back. Hall isn't owed an apology. His agent said the magic "T" word that automatically results in booing. As Yost said, Hall should have been upset, as it showed that he cared. As for Wes Helms...

    I randomly have that day off of work, so I would definitely like to be included. GO BREWERS!!!

    We're not going anywhere without an improved bullpen. It's just way too important and we saw what happened last year. We've been playing well, but I'm not saying anything about our chances until after the Cubs series next week. As far as I'm concerned, the Cubs are still the better team. Their offense is going to wake up sooner or later and they will win 95 games. I would just love to take an 8 game winning streak into Friday's game, however.

    That was only a 13 pitch inning. If Suppan decides to wake up, he can still go a solid 6 innings.

    Plus, we can use the money we saved to sign Sheets in the offseason.

    Torres was a good find, but remember that Gagne was the original closer and Mota was a potential closer before he imploded. They don't come around every day, it was just a result of Melvin signing several relief pitchers in the offseason.
