    I still like the Rays in that series but it's going to get drawn out to 6-7 games. Not sure who the Indians are but the Guards are a well-managed, pesky team that is pitching really well right now.

    The elimination game is the hardest one to win and I think the Dodgers will be highly motivated to not be swept. The Brewers have wildly exceeded our expectations for the series, but I think reality catches up to us a bit today with the Dodgers finally hitting a couple home runs early on and holding off a furious late comeback to win 5-4.

    Yeah it’s all demand-based pricing. The presales and SeatGeek are all a big part of that. I’m sure there will be a TikTok from someone who reverse engineered it any day now. The way I justified it was that I would be paying the same price either way so better that it goes to the Brewers/MLB than to some rando scalper.

    Yeah...my cousin and uncle grabbed tix to game 6. They are WI sports fans but I wouldn't call them serious Brewers fans by any means. Cost isn't an issue to them. There's another Packers fan guy we know who goes to every Super Bowl who will surely be there as well. Games 6-7 in Toronto looked like an insane atmosphere last year so that's what I've been targeting. But I'm taking the risk that it's another short series and both the NLCS and World Series go by without me seeing a single game. --- On STH strips -- remember those folks are being rewarded for loyalty. When you are a fan of a playoff team, every year you get hit with both a renewal and a playoff strip bill in August. It sits so long that you have to pay off the credit card bill and you don't get refunded for unused games until sometime in November. I don't know how the Brewers handle it but I've always owed 50% down which is a lot of money for games that never get played. Half the point of being a STH is holding out for the one year where you don't have to worry about tickets to these insanely high demand games.

    I was a bit tongue-in-cheek in saying that but don't expect them to deploy the high leverage relievers if we're trailing.

    I live in San Diego, it’s a 3 hour drive. The only thing stopping me is that my wife has to work late tomorrow so I have to deal with childcare. If we lose tomorrow I’m going to try to convince my dad to fly from Milwaukee to LA on Friday morning

    One World Series ticket cost me more than all of those tickets combined.

    That's like the third time this year that something happened for the first time in like 75 years and then it happened again like a week later.

    I have tickets to games 5, 6, and 7 in this series because I wanted to see the clincher. I may have badly miscalculated. But I honestly don't care because this is just so incredible. If I see the pennant clinch on my couch it's going to be a dethroning sweep of the Dodgers.
