  1. I'm sure that would work, but it just would be inconvenient in my setup. A firestick is probably the way to go. Hard to beat for $40.
  2. It works fine for me. Just read the fine print. This only works on apple tv, firestick, etc. Will NOT work on a samsung smart TV and I cannot chromecast. That is surprisingly restrictive. Hopefully they expand into more devices. I generally watch games on my laptop. I have a nice 60" screen TV with surround sound but cannot watch Brewer games on it. Not great but better than nothing. I did find a way to view older games though its only for the most recent games (e.g. yesterday's game) and is not easy to find. For example, they have removed the last game already. I cannot view any older games today. If you are paying $20/month, seems like you should be able to watch older games. In general, its poor value for $20/month. But for die hard fans like myself, its hard to not pay for it. Still cheaper than $120/month for cable when I don't watch anything else on cable.
  3. I like "Will not sign". Really no confusion about that. I think this is a great feature. It will be nice to have that all info in one place. Realize it will take some time to reflect reality since it is a manual process, but even so, will be useful. Thanks
  4. The Brewers drafted quite a few High schoolers 11-20, 5 by my count. It would not surprise me if only one or two of these actually signed. The Brewers can roll the dice as they really don't need to draft many players. They have plenty of international signings to fill Arizona and the lower levels of the minors. They don't need the draft for org soldiers.
  5. Nice article Patrick. I'm excited to see what Robert can do in the minors.
  6. Nice day 2 summary so far by McCalvy: https://www.mlb.com/brewers/news/brewers-takeaways-on-day-2-of-2022-mlb-draft
  7. There is an ignore button and I highly recommend you use it. Just won't even show posts of the user posts you don't want to see. It works great except for users that quote and respond to them. Honestly. If we all just stop responding to the trolls, they will go away on their own. They are just looking for attention.
  8. Interesting tidbit by Eric Longenhagen in Fan Graphs draft chat" There is a lot of helium for Chourio right now. I hope its accurate. The Brewers could use a star player.
  9. Hardthrower project. Send him to the pitching lab!
  10. How much of this is a credit to the pitching lab the brewers have? They seem to have much more success than most teams with getting results out of scrap heap pitchers. They are doing something right for sure. I hope it continues
  11. I think he will have a good opportunity to win the 2b job out of spring training next year. Brousseau is a nice platoon partner for him and for emergency. This is a nice way to keep payroll down and at least get good defense and OBP. They may still bring in a veteran to challenge him but I'm sure they will give Turang every opportunity to win the job.
  12. yeah. It was a small sample but Perdomo was pitching really well before he got hurt. It would be nice to get him back,
  13. Well, its not like they need a 4th catcher at AAA either. It is odd that they are carrying another catcher on the taxi. They only need a catcher on the taxi if they have 5 players on it. I would think Mathias/Reyes would make more sense.
  14. I agree. I wish they would play him more. His splits are pretty extreme though to the left side. 619 OPS vs RHP and 1010 vs LH. Small sample so far but that matches pretty close to his career numbers. Though that has not stopped CC from playing Cutch and Hiura against the wrong-handed pitchers.
  15. I'm 6 days into my 7 day free trial and thought I would give my take on this FWIW. I use Samsung smart TVs and I have an old Chromecast. Neither of these work with this app. I dont have apple tv, firestick, or a roku. I can try to cast via Chromecast and I can get sound but just a black screen. I also have a place up north that I use frequently in summers. This service does not allow you to use it if you are more than 50 miles away from your home zip code (they give you 30 days to use it beyond 50 miles, but that wont help me next month). Worst of all, I cannot seem to figure out how to watch this when it is not LIVE. I cannot believe they don't have that feature, but apparently you cannot select old games to watch (or even that day's game later in the day). I suppose you could start it and then pause it, but my problem is I'm not always home when the game starts. So I can watch this on my laptop and the picture is fine, features are ok. The overall watch-ability is fine. Even with all these negatives, I am still considering trying it for another month. I've really missed watching the Brewers. Does anyone know how to watch previous games on this app?
  16. Cruz is a huge guy. Cant believe he will stay at ss for long.
  17. Nice article about former Brewers prospect Jose Lopez. Here's a guy I wrote off a few years ago. I was amazed the Orioles gave him a $1.5M arby deal this offseason but it sure paid off. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/orioles-trade-rumors-jorge-lopez-closer.html
  18. 1 J. Wiemer 2 S. Frelick 3 J. Chourio 4 E. Small 5 Turang 6 Antoine Kelly 7 F. Valerio 8 Tyler Black 9 G. Mitchell 10 J. Quero 11 Hedbert Perez 12 Eduardo Garcia 13 J. 19. We'll need to talk about how to maintain this list as it's already out of date. For reference, new guys Marcus Walden is a free agent after this year and Patrick Dorrian is rule 5 eligible. Is this list going to live in a post or on its own page? The challenge will be the int signings, as we don't always see all of those.
  20. First base is not that hard... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzDYgRc6eic
  21. Teams don't win world series with players playing at career norms. We have to expect career years from at least a few of these guys. I don't think that is unrealistic and if the team goes on a tear, that could happen. Renfroe, Adames, and Tellez need to OPS over 800. Urias is still shaking off the rust, we need him to hit like he did last year. Taylor needs an OPS over 700 and closer to 800. McCutchen needs to mash LHs and he is a slow starter so there is reason to think he will improve. Yelich needs to at least hit 750 OPS. This is possible, just not sure how likely it will be. A couple of bats added would sure help.
  22. I knocked off the rest. Please list international signings that I missed (and anyone else) Eligible for 2023 Rule 5 draft: Jeferson Quero Hedbert Perez Jheremy Vargas Jeferson Figueroa Alexander Cornielle Stiven Cruz Blayberg Diaz Nader Garcia Raul Mendoza Nelson Cuevas Miguel Segura Luis Medina Edwin Jimenez Fernando Olguin Jesus Garcia Terrance Doston Darrien Miller Garrett Mitchell Freddy Zamora Zavier Warren Joey Wiemer Noah Campbell TJ Shook Brandan Knarr Eligible for 2024 Rule 5 draft: Sal Frelick Tyler Black Russell Smith Logan Henderson Ethan Murray Carlos F. Rodriguez Tristan Peters Zack Raabe Brannon Jordan Wes Clarke Kaylan Nicasia Ryne Moore Kent Hasler James Meeker Shane Smith Jacob Brustowski Trevor Tietz 2025 notables: Chourio and Mendez
  23. I added in your list of players. I agree they should be added. I also agree I have no idea whether Parra is eligible. I believe in years past we ran our list past the Brewers to get confirmation. If someone has a contact with them, it would be good to do, because these international signings are really tricky. I spot checked a couple of other names (Nader Garcia, Raul Mendoza, Nelson Cuevas) and they are not eligible. I'm not sure there is much value in digging through Arizona/DSL clubs to see if anyone is eligible. I'm not planning to do that for the future year eligibles. I'd like to focus on the bigger names to see who we need to plan for protecting.
