  1. Joey has 49AB, Rengifo has 48 AB this year. If we are going to replace someone, it should be Rengifo. I personally think its too early to make that call yet.
  2. Rengifo has been worse, so not sure why Joey is getting the attention. And if the alternative is Cooper or Jett, maybe we should wait until either of them have an OPS above .600 in AAA.
  3. Yeah, this was an ideal chance for Black to get an extended chance at the majors. Unfortunate timing on injury
  4. Its pretty incredible. I'm just trying to grapple with the odds of three fly balls that were hit in one game that were near enough to the fence that they could be robbed. Let alone they all go to the same guy. Obviously its a great defensive performance but there was a lot luck involved for him to be in the position to rob them.
  5. Interesting move. Assuming he is signing a major league contract immediately, then we need to open a 40 man roster spot. Those are getting harder to free up. Carlos Rodriguez? Berroa and Zas are both on the IL so they cannot be DFAd. Its an odd time to do this.
  6. Brewers need to consider new batting gloves.
  7. Quite an opportunity for Wilken or Adams. If they can get on a hot streak to start the season, they could easily get a callup as they would be a better option to play first than Sanchez/Quero vs. LH's
  8. I'll go Brock Wilken. I think he can make himself into a decent platoon bat at 3b (Vs. LH) at a minimum.
  9. Should note that KC is rule 5 eligible this offseason. Not that he was overly likely to be protected but the Brewers will have a ridiculous number of players to protect so don't be surprised to see more trades like this.
  10. Let me fix that for you. i think you were missing a photo 😄
  11. Vaughn really crushed that HR. He may be my favorite Brewer right now
  12. Should be fun. Lets Goooo Brewers.!!!!!!!
  13. And Blake Burke is 3-3 in SB today. Who had that on their bingo card for today?
  14. Juan Martinez and Jonathan Rangel were also listed on the graphic. I had assumed Moises Polanco and Mayorquin would be stateside but have not seen their names mentioned yet.
  15. Assuming no injuries to position players, I agree Perkins/Lockridge is the only real battle in spring, with Perkins having the edge. Injuries happen though, and that could open the door for Jett, Black, Baddoo, and Eddys Leonard. A catcher injury would give Quero/McGuire an opportunity. I dont think anyone else has a shot.
  16. This is a really solid group of hitters. I could easily see all of them in the majors in a few years, If not excelling there. That's impressive to say for your 11 -15 ranked prospects.
  17. It will be interesting to see whether Rengifo or Urias will be the better player next year. I was hoping they would sign Urias.
  18. I don't understand why Pratt is listed as an option for a bench spot. Zero chance the Brewers are clearing a 40 man spot so a top 100 prospect can skip AAA and then sit on the bench in a utility role. Same goes for Jett, unless they think he could get enough playing time in the infield/outfield. Still highly unlikely. This is Hamilton's job to lose. The name to add would be Eddys Leonard though also unlikely.
  19. JJ Cooper was on a podcast recently suggesting that the owners should be pushing for much greater revenue sharing and a soft floor (minimum player payroll or there will be penalties), but no hard salary cap. A hard salary cap will be incredibly difficult to get done, so this seems like a much more reasonable approach. We already have a soft cap (penalties above a payroll level), so why don't we have a soft floor? As long as revenue sharing provides low income teams with enough money to reach the soft floor, this seems workable. MLB should encourage teams to want to win so a hard cap disincentivizes that. But more revenue sharing will level the playing field.
  20. A 622 OPS last year has me concerned and he is not getting younger. Fangraphs projects him at 680 OPS and Baseball Ref at 705. If we get 700 OPS from him, I'll be happy.
  21. He had a significant offensive dropoff last year, but he will only be 29 this year so not too old. Its reasonable to think he will rebound some. I'd expect a 700 OPS at best, which is probably fine and at least sets a floor for our 3b situation. This will give our prospects more time in the minors and if someone really hits, can easily replace Rengifo or enter into a platoon. Rengifo hits LH's very well.
  22. How much deferred money is in his contract?
