  1. Congrats to all 3! I realize they probably could not add all 3 starting pitchers, but Peralta has been better than Burnes this year, though its close.
  2. Not sure I get the point of this. Kramer seems to have stalled out at the majors. Are we really in need of another crappy utility infielder? Kirby is likely to not pan out, but I was following him and holding out hope he could be a dominant reliever. I think I like Kirby's future better than Kramer. I believe Kramer does not need a 40 man roster spot but if we were just trying to replace Hernan, it seems like we could have found FA to sign instead. Probably not a great loss with Kirby though.
  3. He's overshadowed by the other catching prospects but he is a decent prospect in his own right. Maybe not a starter but could have a long career as a backup.
  4. Neither Weigel or Sobotka have pitched well for us. I can see why we got them for Arcia. I had higher hopes for at least one of them to be serviceable. Its small sample so far. Hopefully Weigel can give us some innings later this year.
  5. It’s sort of a testament to just how strong Tampa Bay’s overall system is when they can trade away infielders the caliber of Jake Cronenworth, Nick Solak, Nate Lowe, Willy Adames and yet still not really skip a beat. You could say its a testament to the Brewers front office in how they are able to scrounge up RP every year when other teams seem to struggle. I realize not the same caliber of players but we did just trade two of them for a very good SS.
  6. Their pitching is really bad. Canning is the next best starter after Ohtani and his ERA is just below 5. Even the hitters are pretty bad after those three and Upton.
  7. Ohtani is putting together an amazing season. He leads all of baseball with 30 HRs already and has a 1.068 OPS. He also has 12 starts with a 3.60 ERA and 83 K in 60 innings. Crazy numbers
  8. Fun Facts: Felix Valerio leads the club in steals with 16 (16-19 SB-Att). You might guess Joe Gray would be 2nd on the team. No, but he is 12-12. Its 6'-6", 229lb 1B Ernesto Martinez who is 15-17. Now that is two very different looking players. Valerio is 5'7" 165 lbs. The club has a number of players swiping bags with Weimer and Holt both swiping 12-14.
  9. Ryan Aguiar now batting .102 with an ops of .436. Ouch. Not sure I have seen anyone struggle so badly this far into the season
  10. (4) @ Pittsburgh 3-1 (3) @ New York Mets 2-1 (4) Cincinnati 2-2 (3) @ Cincinnati 1-2 (2) Kansas City 1-1 (3) Chicago White Sox 2-1 (3) @ Pittsburgh 3-0 (2) @ Atlanta 1-1 Overall: 15-9
  11. Sorry, drooled a little bit after reading this..."Uribe has one of the most electric arms in all the minors and he’s been up to 103 this year. One. Zero. Three. " He's got a 80/80 fastball. Can't wait to see him in Milwaukee.
  12. When are we doing the next poll? I'm pretty excited about this one as I can see a lot of new players joining the top 25. Overall a pretty good showing for a number of toolsy players this year.
  13. Injuries have hurt his chances. Plus a 9.58 ERA in his limited innings didn't help. He's 29 and running out of chances. There's a good chance he clears waivers and remains with the club
  14. He can pitch too. 5 relief innings in 2019, 26.2 total professional innings in his career. He was trying to do what he can to get to the majors. He doesnt need to do that now
  15. Our options at AAA to replace him are: Hiura - I hope not, I'd like him to spend more time in the minors Green - While excited to see what he can do, his 39% K rate this year tells me I won't be excited Wes Wilson - Maybe the best option, but still not tearing it up at AAA. 873 OPS is strong with a 23% K rate. The low batting average concerns me that he wont be able to translate this to the majors, but he could at least be as good as Vogelbach Cooper Hummel - He's crushing it to the tune of 1030 OPS, but has been limited due to injuries and playing DH. I'm shocked to see that he has never played 1B in his career so maybe he doesn't belong on this list. But how hard can it be to play 1b? Jaimie Westbrook - If I listed Cooper I guess I should list Jaimie. Jaimie has also been crushing it and at least has one professional game at 1B. All but Hiura need to be added to the 40 man roster so we will need to clear a space to add them. These are not great options but the bar is low. Despite Vogelbach's recent hot streak, his OPS is just 709 for the season and he has been "JBJ" bad the last week (501 OPS).
  16. I'm excited to see what Jake can do, so I am glad the Brewers are giving him a chance. I dont understand the point of calling up Godley the other day. I cannot believe the Brewers fully evaluated him based on his 1/3 of an inning yesterday. If one bad outing is all it took to discard Godley, why not just give Cousins the call instead.
  17. A bit surprising R.Aguilar is still starting. Hitting a buck-16 after repeating the year at AA. Not sure what he can do at this point to keep his job with the OF talent knocking at the door at A+. G.Mitchell, K.Howell, J.Ward, and J.Lujano all deserve a callup to AA, so the Brewers will need to make room soon.
  18. I hope this means we are trying to get a 1B/3B in a trade. We actually have enough infielders to cover all the positions, just none that can hit. If the answer was going to be Hernan getting called up, I think I would have vomited. It would have been nice to see if Green or Wes Wilson would be given a chance but realistically they are probably not better than what we already have. I assume Jace will get the most starts at 3b, with Robertson/Reyes getting spots against LHs.
  19. Now we need Yelich to heat up. He's getting warm but we need him red hot.
  20. The pirates odds of making the playoffs peaked at 1.2% near the end of April. They started off at 0.4%. Ouch.
  21. Hoe long are they going to let Biloxi play with just 11 hitters? Lujano or Korry Howell seem to be ready for a callup and could certainly help
