  1. Burnes hasn’t pitched since Thursday and Anderson is starting tomorrow. Have they announced when he’ll pitch again?
  2. If the Angels could ever get some pitching, they could be a force with their lineup.
  3. Shane Greene would be my choice if we’re going to sign anymore free agents.
  4. I’d rather see the Padres win the West over the Dodgers but part of me wants their bullpen to totally implode just to stick it to them. I’m glad Stearns is not budging.
  5. Good test for Rasmussen facing Tatis and Grisham right off the bat. Should be fun.
  6. Good test for Rasmussen facing Tatis and Grisham right off the bat. Should be fun.
  7. Holy smokes! Aren’t we the ones who’s supposed to get top prospects in a Hader trade and not the other team?
  8. Holy smokes! Aren’t we the ones who’s supposed to get top prospects in a Hader trade and not the other team?
  9. I originally thought Lindblom was a lock to be in the rotation but wonder if there’s a good chance Peralta could beat him out. Didn’t Lindblom pitch a lot better out of the bullpen last year?
  10. Yeah to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.
  11. Any chance Small and Ashby skip AA and start the season in Nashville?
  12. Option 1 and it’s not even close. Just imagine a rotation of Woodruff, Burnes and Gore for years to come.
  13. How did Yelich’s name even come up all of a sudden? Padres fans think they can trade for anybody now just because they got Darvish for a bunch of low level prospects. I can’t even imagine what a Hader/Yelich trade would look like.
  14. Man would I love to know what Stearns is demanding from Preller. We know that Stearns is a tough negotiator so I’m sure it’s just a matter of whether Preller caves or not.
  15. I don’t have a link or anything but apparently this Acee guy did specify later on that it is Hader. Take it for what it’s worth.
  16. Reading through the Twitter comments, these Padres fans are truly delusional. They think they can get Hader for a baseball and a bag of chips. Twitter rumors are the worst.
  17. Yeah it’s fun to read the “rumors” but we all know by now that when Stearns makes a move it’s usually out of nowhere and we didn’t see it coming. I’ve always thought the Padres made the most sense for a Hader trade though.
  18. This kinda reminds me of a few years ago when we acquired Cain and Yelich and just assumed Domingo Santana would be traded. That doesn’t mean they didn’t try but I think the Brewers just believe this stuff always has a way of working itself out (injuries, underperforming, etc).
  19. Oh man, don’t say that. Was really looking forward to having Cain back but I guess this is a possibility we have to accept.
  20. He'd make a hell of a 4th OFer .... or???? I can’t imagine he’d go somewhere where he’d be the 4th outfielder unless there’s just no interest from anyone else. Or like you said, something weird is in the works.
  21. Very odd. I’m guessing this is one of those Stearns checking in on everybody situations.
  22. Would the Brewers offer 3 for $30 million for Odorizzi? I know they reportedly offered that kind of money to Turner but my gut just tells me they wouldn’t offer that to Odorizzi. I think the Brewers always think more highly of their internal pitching options than us fans do. It would be fun but I would be surprised to see them go this route.
  23. I'm not convinced on Robertson. He just had TJ surgery, barely pitched in 2019 and didn't throw at all in 2020. Maybe if he came real cheap. Oops, didn’t realize he had TJ and I misread his stats thinking he pitched last year. Yeah maybe not then.
  24. Go get David Robertson to round out the bullpen and call the offseason good. Didn’t have a good year in 2020 in a small sample but has obviously been really good his whole career. Don’t think he’ll cost all that much.
  25. I would have been very happy with that deal for the Brewers. Good deal for the Mets.
