  1. Would be nice to see the offseason get going a bit but I guess this was to be expected.
  2. Will the DSL still go on or did that get scrapped too?
  3. With Dambrowski set to join the Phillies, I could see him being ultra aggressive and making a run at Hader. Bohm is probably off limits but would a Rhys Hoskins + prospects interest anybody? You get a relatively young 1B (turns 28 in March) who finally shores up that position for at least a few years.
  4. I just can’t get excited about a platoon between Vogelbach and any old fart past his prime veteran but I guess that’s probably where we’re heading.
  5. Well that’s no fun! At least it would have given us something to talk about.
  6. Yeah this worked out great for the Brewers. New facilities in Biloxi and Nashville and they remain in Appleton which actually moves up a level. Looking forward to watching Mitchell there this summer.
  7. So MLB is expected to send out the invites today but I wonder how long before teams release that information and it becomes public knowledge?
  8. So who’s left for 1B and 3B options on the open market? I’m looking at the top 50 free agents according to mlb trade rumors and there weren’t a lot to begin with and now Carlos Santana is gone. I feel like we’re screwed at those positions unless Stearns can swing a trade.
  9. Yeah that sucks but wonder if he wanted to stay in the AL due to the DH. Then again, maybe the Brewers just didn’t want to pony up the money.
  10. Oh crap! Was hoping for Santana.
  11. The Brewers were awarded a comp A pick and will have the 32nd pick in the 2021 draft.
  12. Unfortunately I think GMs around the league hold the same opinion and that might be why Hader is still a Brewer and might be for some time.
  13. OMG no kidding. At this rate, we might not see any significant activity until January.
  14. If the Dodgers have one weakness, its probably their bullpen. Especially with Jansen starting to struggle a little bit. If the Dodgers are trying to strengthen their bullpen, you might as well trade for the best reliever in the game. Like others have said, this makes too much sense for it to actually happen though.
  15. MLB trade rumors is predicting around $13 million combined for La Stella and Santana. If we trade Hader for prospects then we could very well sign both.
  16. La Stella and Santana are exactly the type of players this offense desperately needs. Big on-base guys at positions of need. Even if we could get one (preferably Santana) that would be huge.
  17. Omar Estevez is Rule V eligible and he's an intriguing player. Put up decent numbers in AA in 2019 at a relatively young age. Plays 2B and SS so could be a good (and cheap) utility guy. Not sure if he's worth a spot on the 26 man roster though.
  18. If MLBtraderumors is accurate with their projections, that could get us La Stella (2 years/$14M) and Charlie Morton (1 year/$8M). As Brewers Numbers has said, we have some "dead money" to account for, so I'd be happy with us being able to land La Stella to shore up our biggest hole. Once again, this makes me think that the Brewers are going to have to make a decision on Hader soon. Trade him and you have some additional players and more money to spend. Don't trade him, and your bullpen is set but you don't have much to spend elsewhere. That’s a really good way to look at a Hader trade. If we trade him, there’s a good chance you have a better, more well-rounded team as opposed to a pretty good bullpen and not much else.
  19. I’m not hoping and praying for a Cain trade, but if we really want to get nuts and shed salary, then Cain would be an obvious candidate. Is there a team out there that needs a CF that could also absorb his salary? We’re opening a hole in CF but then we have that much more money to spend on corner IF spots or a starting pitcher. Thoughts?
  20. Yeah this is getting ridiculous. The longer this drags on the worse it looks for MLB.
  21. Sign me up for Hader for Whitley and Toro.
  22. So I guess this means either Pina or Narváez are definitely getting non-tendered. Or both?
  23. Eddie Rosario would be interesting but he’d probably be too expensive and there’s nowhere to play him in the outfield.
  24. Wow, the Twins made out pretty well I would say.
  25. So is the Pioneer League going to be a separate league from the new Draft League? Or are they somehow related?
