    We get to play Pittsburgh a bunch more times plus Detroit and Kansas City. Even at .500, I like where we're sitting as of today.

    I've always been a big Chuck Freimund fan so I was absolutely shocked to see him let go, especially over some of the other guys at that station. Looks like I'll be tuning into 97.3 going forward.

    Is there ANY chance Peralta and Burnes both make the starting rotation? Assuming they both continue to have a strong spring training.

    I’m starting to think a Hader trade is much more likely to happen at the trade deadline or not at all this year. Contending teams are always desperate for relief pitching at the deadline and if we are out of contention, then I think we look to trade him at that point.

    So if they determine that Altuve and Bregman really did wear those devices, are they done for a year too? Or did they continue to get immunity?

    So as of today, my starting rotation would be: 1. Woodruff 2. Peralta/Houser (I think these guys will battle it out in spring training and one or the other will go to the bullpen) 3. Lauer 4. Lindblom 5. Anderson

    I like the idea but didn’t they just sign him to an extension? I think he’ll be moving to 1B.

    With the Twins set at 3B for the next few years, how about calling them up and seeing what it would take to get Luis Arraez? Not much power but an absolute on base machine and he’s young and controllable.

    Even if we had the pieces to get a deal done, I can’t believe for one second that Attanasio would be willing to take on that kind of money.

    The Cardinals are gonna end up getting Arenado, aren’t they? Now there is a report out there that they have begun exchanging names in a potential deal.

    From Brewer World on Twitter - Source tells me David Stearns may be in play for the vacant Astros GM job. Familiarity with owner Jim Crane and dissatisfaction with Brewers payroll budget are both factors in play. Stay Tuned. Isn't this guy a pretty reliable source?

    Faria has been DFA'd to make room for Gyorko.

    We just simply need to get better at drafting and developing our own players. Then we’re not having these payroll discussions year in and year out. We did good with guys like Hiura and Woodruff but have a long ways to go in that department.

    You think our starting rotation is worse now than what we ended with last year? Come on. No I’m only talking about position players. I’m actually ok with our starting rotation.

    We haven’t improved at any position this offseason except for maybe SS and even that is a question. There’s no doubt in my mind we are a worse team on paper than last year’s team. Maybe that changes over the next couple months but I have my doubts.

    Also, 40 man is full so someone will have to go.

    Gross. I just pray this is a fallback option in case we don’t make a bigger move at 3B.

    This seems like an awfully odd and random trade for a contending Cardinals team. Wonder if they are just trying to accumulate prospects to make a huge splash later (Arenado)?
