  1. Made has been getting on base a ton lately. Nothing spectacular, but very, very solid for an 18-year old. His numbers are starting to catch up to Pena's.
  2. This Cubs offense will be the reason they win this division going away. It is just so much better than the Brewers.
  3. Henderson has somehow given up just 1 run on 9 hits through 5 IP. Carolina's offense continues to struggle.
  4. This is more about next year for the Brewers when Hoskins is gone. Maybe a change of scenery will do Vaughn some good?
  5. Image courtesy of © Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Less than 24 hours after requesting a trade, the Milwaukee Brewers have traded starting pitcher Aaron Civale to the Chicago White Sox, according to Jon Heyman. In return, the Brewers acquired the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, Andrew Vaughn. Civale requested a trade after the Brewers moved the veteran right-hander to the bullpen for a debuting Jacob Misiorowski. Civale wanted to continue his career as a starter, even if it resulted in playing for another team. There was nothing against the organization, coaches, or teammates. Civale simply wanted to pursue what is best for his career. While he will go to a less competitive team in the White Sox, Civale will find plenty of opportunities for the start for the club and could even be traded again prior to the trade deadline. The White Sox send over Andrew Vaughn, a first baseman with little experience at third base, second base, and the corner outfield positions, who has struggled to begin his 2025 campaign. I mentioned Vaughn as a potential trade candidate back in the 2023-2024 offseason and he been clamoring about him ever since. You can find this story here. As part of the White Sox, Vaughn is hitting a career .248/.303/.407 line hitting 77 home runs in the process. However, his .189 batting average along with his 49 OPS+ this season resulted in his option down to Triple-A. While it is yet to be determined whether he will be on the Brewers 26-man roster, it will be a nice change of scenery move going from a team at the bottom of the American League to a team with playoff aspirations. Vaughn has one more year of club control, possibly two depending on how much time he spends in the minor leagues this year. He could be an option the Brewers look at first base after the 2025 season. Special thanks to @wibadgers23 for starting the forum thread that this article is based upon. What are your thoughts on the trade? Do you think the Brewers could’ve gotten a better return? 6. No XBH yet for Quero in his return to AAA but is quietly having a nice first week back.
  7. Yeah basically a salary dump which would be fine I guess. Would allow us to take on some salary at the trade deadline if we decide to be buyers.
  8. Carolina is going to put a big offensive night tonight with Made and Pena leading the way. I'm speaking it into existence. 😀
  9. Can't imagine Civale is too happy with this move, particularly with him being a free agent this offseason. Gotta think they are trying to trade him.
  10. For those of us wondering what's up with the dual pre and post game shows this series, it's apparently because FanDuel carries both Brewers and Braves games so they are going the cheap route and combining shows.
  11. Was wondering the same thing last night but don't think I got an answer. They did a dual pre-game today too.
  12. Dinges is playing like a man amongst boys right now.
  13. I miss the old days when Carolina would put up a bunch of runs in the blink of an eye. Just cannot get much going offensively lately.
  14. It stinks that the closest homegrown guys are down in AA and likely a year away from getting the call. It's trade or bust.
  15. Why are they doing a dual post game show with Braves people? Did I miss something?
  16. How is Atlanta's bullpen? Only chance we have at this point is to get Sale out of the game.
  17. I don't think he's dropped off all that much. Average is down compared to the end of last year but is probably on pace to beat his homerun and RBI totals. Obviously needs to improve his OBP but I'm confident he will do that. I think he's been solid this year. Not great but solid.
