    Austin Riley left today's game due to injury and is possibly looking at an IL stint and of course Acuna is already on the IL. Atlanta is all beat up, particularly their pitching staff.

    Yes, he's not a free agent until 2031. Arbitration eligible in 2028.

    Yeah I'm done being mad at any decision the Brewers make at this point. They've made me look silly too many times.

    Yeah they probably figured this would be a good time to skip a start against a bad team and let someone else throw. I think we all knew something like this was coming in order to limit his innings.

    I might have to make the three hour drive from Eau Claire to watch that trio. Imagine Made and Pena in that lineup eventually too. Now that would be fun!

    Congrats to Burke! Struggling a bit lately but overall has had a nice year in high-A. Does this mean Andrew Fischer to Appleton?

    Couldn't agree with you more @biedergbon all of your points and I think you hit the nail on the head - there haven't been many breakout performances in 2025 and the ones that we did get were interrupted by injuries (Dinges, Adamczewski, etc).

    In terms of injuries, yes this has been a very disappointing season. There have been some subpar performances over the course of the year for sure but the injuries have been devastating. Tons of missed games from many of our top 30 prospects. In terms of performance, my two biggest disappointments have been Pratt and Boeve but Pratt is still very young and Boeve again has dealt with injuries so hopefully they can end the year strong and carry that into 2026.

    Irvin pitched pretty well against us a few weeks ago. Otherwise, he's been pretty terrible for the most part.

    Yeah very bizarre trade but then again I hated the Priester deal so what do I know?

    Agree on Made and Pena staying put in Carolina this year. Also, I think they'll keep guys like Pratt, Lara, Boeve in Biloxi the whole year. Perhaps there isn't much movement to be made after all. I thought Burke to Biloxi would likely happen but he's been struggling so bad lately that he might stay in Appleton. Adamczeski should absolutely be moved up.

    Really thought we'd see some promotions by now with the draft over and those guys signed. Perhaps after this week we'll see a slew of guys bumped up?

    You can't make August trades anymore like you could in the past.

    I'm a little nervous not having Chourio in the lineup for an extended period of time. Hopefully Contreras has found something after the Cubs series that he had.

    A ton of strikeouts for the Mudcats tonight. Adamczewski with a double and a walk. Rattlers are tied late. Another lousy day on the farm.
