    Would love Mayo and I know the Orioles have historically held onto their prospects but I could see them being more aggressive going forward.

    I have a difficult time gauging what the return would be on elite relievers these days but can you imagine the influx of talent the Brewers would get if they traded him and Burnes this offseason? I would most definitely start listening to offers for Williams.

    I know Baltimore doesn’t like to trade their prospects but it sure looks like they could use an experienced veteran on their pitching staff like Burnes.

    I imagine we’ll hear something on Counsell’s decision this week. I don’t think he’ll drag this thing out too long.

    Yeah I agree with you. I meant for the Dodgers, not us.

    Nobody that would have even close to the impact Burnes would have in 2024.

    If the Dodgers go out early, do they go big in the offseason and trade for Burnes AND Adames? They’ve already been rumored to be interested in Adames.

    Probably lack of options which the Brewers value tremendously.

    Freon Burnes sounds like the name of a Star Trek character.

    That’s a little bit of a depressing outfield to be honest. If that is really the direction they go to begin the year, hopefully it’s not long before we see Chourio and Frelick.

    I think it’s fairly clear this lineup needs more pop. Who can we target in the offseason? Revisit the Pete Alonso/Eloy Jimenez trades? Any free agents that we could actually afford? Wonder how much Hoskins will get?

    Yeah I wasn’t overly impressed with any of the rookies, Frelick included who was an absolute soft-contact machine. Hoping for big improvements next year from that group or it could be a LONG year.

    The silver lining of a Brewers loss tonight is I seriously need some time away from baseball. This team has undoubtedly shortened my lifespan.

    I can’t help but to think this game is over.

    Guessing we’ll see Winker removed from the playoff roster due to injury and replaced by Mitchell.

    Whoever made the ultimate decision to put Winker on the postseason roster should be arrested and charged with a felony immediately after this game.

    The Brewers have probably already filed the game tape away for next year’s arbitration hearing with Burnes.

    Why Wiemer over Mitchell? None of the Dbacks starters that we’re facing are lefties. What am I missing?

    Yeah there’s a fairly good chance we end up playing the Diamondbacks next week. Not sure who holds the tiebreaker though.

    I get it but I don’t want to risk giving the Cubs life, letting them clinch a playoff spot and then bringing a boatload of Cubs fans here next week.

    Why not pitch Williams tonight and put the Cubs out of their misery?

    Safe to say Andrews probably isn’t a big league pitcher. Cubs could score a bunch here.

    So the Cubs are in some trouble. If Miami holds on to win tonight, they’re essentially up two games with three to go.
