    If we’re not planning on trading Burnes/Adames and going for one more run in 2024, then it would make some sense to check in on their asking price. Otherwise, doesn’t make much sense in a rebuild/retooling year.

    Thanks…that’s quite the haul of draft picks in 2025 assuming we keep both Burnes and Adames.

    Are we sure we’ll get a comp pick for Adames? I haven’t heard that come up before.

    That and it complicates things big time if the Brewers are even remotely in a playoff race. Then you have another Hader situation on your hands. And I don’t even want to think about a major injury that would eliminate any trade value at all.

    I wouldn’t agree with this approach one bit unless the trade offers the Brewers receive are just not very good. Then you might as well keep Burnes and take the draft pick. That being said, I find it hard to believe teams won’t be submitting competitive offers for Burnes.

    Yes, I think the Brewers should reboot this offseason but I think they’ll do more of a staggered rebuild - Burnes this offseason, Adames at the deadline and then Williams and Peralta in future trade deadlines/offseasons. I have a hard time seeing Mark A do a complete sell-off in one offseason. I like all of your trade scenarios but really do not think the Rays would trade for one year of Burnes. He just seems destined to go to the Dodgers. Also, I would hope we could get more for Devin Williams but I understand teams are no longer giving up multiple top prospects even for elite relievers.

    Probably means absolutely nothing but nobody who is on the “trade block” attending.

    Would love Caminero from the Rays. Would pair nicely with Chourio. Obviously would love Holliday too but probably not realistic.

    To be fair, we haven’t really signed anybody of substance since Cain in 2018.

    Pretty sure Tyrone Taylor is going to retire a Brewer at this point.

    Other than the Yelich extension, they haven’t spent meaningful money on any position since Cain in 2018. I wouldn’t hold my breath on any significant money being spent.

    Always thought a mega trade of Burnes and Adames to the Dodgers made too much sense to happen. Wouldn’t shock me one bit to see one or both end up in Dodger blue this winter.

    So if the Brewers and Woodruff can’t agree to a 2 year deal by Friday, is it fair to assume he’ll be non-tendered? Otherwise, they’re paying him over $10 million just to rehab for a year.
