  1. Gasser would definitely get an opportunity and then maybe they could sign one of the FA pitchers out there to a one year deal.
  2. I wonder if the Brewers are going to try and trade Burnes before January 12 which is the deadline for reaching an agreement on arbitration. They probably don't want to relive that again.
  3. Are the Twins in “go for it” mode? I can’t see them trading for a one year rental like Burnes.
  4. Chourio/Holliday would really be something but as you said, not gonna happen. I would be perfectly content with some combination of Mayo, Basallo, Ortiz, Norby, etc. Just not sure if Baltimore will actually trade their prospects.
  5. Dodgers might as well go all out and go get Burnes now.
  6. Maybe I'm missing something but why would the Twins want Burnes for one year? Can't see them trading someone like Lee for one season of Burnes.
  7. Old poster from many years ago who claimed to have an inside source and ended up being completely full of it. Fun times. Did create some fun conversations though.
  8. Yeah with Quero coming very soon, I was never overly concerned with who they’d sign as backup catcher.
  9. I’m also beginning to think the Brewers and Dodgers don’t match up very well on a Burnes trade. Pepiot is already gone and I think that makes it doubtful they move Sheehan at this point. I’m not all that interested in any of their other pitching prospects in a Burnes trade. Maybe Adames but not Burnes.
  10. If they want to hold onto Burnes and try and make another run in 2024, then as monty pointed out, they better not half-ass this offseason. Get some guys who can hit the ball. Spend some money. Do what you have to do to surround the pitching staff with a halfway decent offense.
  11. First we had to wait for Ohtani to sign for things to get rolling and now we're waiting on Yamamoto. Gotta love the MLB offseason.
  12. We have Contreras and who else? Caratini just signed with Houston.
  13. I like this trade and I think it makes sense for both teams. The Brewers get two top 100 pitching prospects and the Giants make a big splash after missing out on Ohtani. They’d have a good chance at resigning Burnes too.
  14. Twins and Blue Jays possibly in trade talks per Morosi. Kepler and Polanco are some of the names that have come up.
  15. No reason to not have Mitchell and Black in that lineup. 1. Frelick, LF 2. Contreras, C 3. Yelich, DH 4. Adames, SS 5. Bauers, 1B (gross) 6. Chourio, RF 7. Mitchell, CF 8. Black, 3B 9. Turang, 2B
  16. At this point, I'd guess: Rangers - 20% Orioles - 10% Brewers - 60% Other - 10%
  17. Royals are spending some money. Sheesh.
  18. That would be quite the offseason if the Dodgers picked up Ohtani, Glasnow, Burnes and Yamamoto.
  19. Yeah for sure but at some point, there simply won't be room on their roster for all of these prospects. They have an abundance of infield prospects and won't be able to keep everybody.
  20. The Dodgers always seemed like the perfect landing spot for Burnes but it appears as though that ship has sailed. Time for the Orioles or someone else to step up.
  21. Is it possible the Dodgers offered a similar package for Burnes and Adames and Arnold thankfully said no? Or is Glasnow and Margot not really a fair comparison to Burnes and Adames?
