  1. Can maybe scratch the Dodgers off the list of possible suitors for Burnes?
  2. Would have been fun but man we just have absolutely no shot at these guys coming out of Japan and Korea.
  3. Brewers are viewing Ross as a starter.
  4. My fear is Arnold is being unreasonable in his asking price for one year of Burnes. I’m not saying get whatever you can but if I see the Dodgers or any of these other rumored teams go out and trade for Glasnow and Cease and Burnes is still a Brewer come OD, I’m going to assume the asking price was unreasonable and the Brewers weren’t motivated to trade him, which would be a mistake.
  5. Do the Angels even have anyone that would be of interest to the Brewers?
  6. The Dodgers are going to go out and sign Yamamoto now, aren’t they?
  7. Going to be a LONG offseason of rumors and speculation surrounding Burnes.
  8. Do we think this increases or decreases the odds of the Dodgers trading for Burnes or does it have no impact? Their lineup is deadly but their pitching still needs a lot of work.
  9. Anybody venture a guess at the contract terms? I’d guess 10 years, $600 million which is absurd just thinking about it.
  10. This whole thing has a LeBron James “The Decision” vibe to it.
  11. Yeah him and Yamamoto are holding everything up.
  12. Or gets hurt. Or sucks the first half and loses all trade value. There aren’t too many good reasons I can think of to keep Burnes unless Arnold is getting just awful trade offers for him which is doubtful.
  13. Yeah I wonder how much MLB spent to send all of these GM’s and executives to Nashville to do something that could have been done over the phone or Zoom.
  14. Agreed. I get the feeling Mark A is in no hurry to hit the reset button yet, even though it’s fast approaching in 2025.
  15. I don’t think his contract is THAT awful, particularly with the contracts that are being handed out these days. I’m sure he’d accept a trade to some team in California but I also don’t think the Brewers are as desperate to rid themselves of his contract as some fans are.
  16. These reporters aren’t getting any insider information from the Brewers. The Brewers are one of the most tight-lipped organizations in baseball. We usually don’t know a trade or signing is going down until it actually happens. All of these “reports” are just whatever to me.
  17. So that would be the Reds # 2, 6, 9, and 11th ranked prospects for two years of Cease. Would love to know what Arnold is asking for Burnes.
  18. Juan Soto to the Yankees appears to be inevitable.
  19. Can cross off Devin Williams being traded to Baltimore.
  20. Sheehan must be a late bloomer because going back to when he was drafted in 2021, Sheehan never made the Dodgers top 30 list on MLB Pipeline, unless I’m missing something. He’s never been a highly regarded prospect, at least not in the minds of prospect rankings. Not arguing with you, just an observation.
  21. I don’t know. I look at those Dodgers pitching prospects and I’m not completely enamored with them. So if a team like Baltimore offers some of their stud infield prospects, I’d probably be pretty okay with that.
