    I don’t have numbers to back it up but Hedbert Perez appears to be closing out his season on a hot streak. Looking forward to seeing him in Appleton next year.

    Not a ton of power yet but Frelick continues to put on a clinic in AAA. Two more hits today and a 15:9 walk to strikeout ratio.

    Interesting that they’re starting Ruiz over Mitchell against a RH starter. I did like what I saw from Ruiz last night even though he went hitless.

    Well that’s no fun. They took Rodriguez out after 6 perfect innings. 9 strikeouts. Quite the performance!

    As painful as it would be, I think you have to seriously consider trading Burnes and/or Woodruff in the offseason. The Dodgers, for example, have a bunch of prospects who are close to MLB ready who would fill positions of need. I’m sure they’d jump at the chance of trading for a guy like Burnes. Same with the Rangers, Orioles, etc. Just think of the talent we’d acquire by trading just Burnes alone. We’d still have a serviceable rotation with Peralta, Ashby and Lauer. You’d also have more money to play with by trading away those guys that you could use to retool the starting rotation. Lots of possibilities but standing pat or just signing guys like McCutchen isn’t going to cut it anymore.

    Regardless of the numbers, this lineup could use a bit of a shakeup in the offseason. It’s been stagnant for a few years now. I hope Stearns goes in this direction.

    Nashville with a nice comeback win tonight. Turang collected three hits and Wiemer had a walk-off walk.

    No Ruiz again in Nashville’s lineup so he’s either hurt or being called up and there’s no indication he’s injured right now.

    Happy Jacob Misioroski Day! Really pumped to see how he does to close out the year. Didn’t think we’d see him until 2023.

    Arizona has some tough pitching so we’ll probably struggle to score runs this entire series. Luckily, it doesn’t look like Arizona has the greatest offense either so hopefully our pitching can match theirs.
