I’m right there with you as I don’t think he has much more to prove in the minors but I just don’t see any room for him on the roster unless they plan on playing him in CF. Unless he’s traded, he’ll more than likely be our starting 2B to begin 2023.
I agree with mostly everybody here. It makes a lot more sense for an organization like the Dodgers or Yankees to trade for Soto since they actually have a shot at resigning him. The Brewers would be in for a long and painful rebuild come 2025.
Unless we’re trading for a star player with multiple years of control, I’m not trading Chourio or Frelick. Anybody else is fair game although I’d be really hesitant to trade Mitchell, Turang, Wiemer and Small for a rental.

Agree with the poster above on Frelick. He’s hit at every level including AA and he’s an excellent fielder. I really think we’ve got something here. There’s a reason he’s a top 100 prospect.
Not surprising. Only the big market teams ever get mentioned in these types of trades for superstars. It’s more exciting that way from a media standpoint.
Assuming we trade guys like Hader, Woodruff and Burnes for a haul sometime in the future, I’d be inclined to go all in this year and trade anybody not named Chourio. Might as well go big since we only have those core guys for a couple more years and we’ll replenish the system with those trades.
This has probably already been asked here but do we think these guys will report to Carolina relatively soon and start playing? Particularly our first few picks.
