    Stearns is under contract for one more year but if Mark A knows Stearns to the Mets is inevitable, it might be in the Brewers best interest to work out some sort of trade this offseason. When was the last time an executive was traded and what was the return?

    Something has to give with all of our outfielders - Yelich, Taylor, Renfroe, Mitchell, Ruiz, Wiemer and Frelick. I’d move Yelich to DH, trade Renfroe and Taylor and go with an all rookie outfield. You can’t keep these guys down in the minor leagues forever. I’d also seriously consider trading Burnes. I’m sure a team like the Rangers, Orioles or Dodgers would give us a haul for him. 2023 would probably be a bit of a down year but certainly not a full rebuild.

    I really wonder if Frelick will be ranked in the top 30 on prospect lists at season’s end? Call me a homer but I would have him ranked that highly.

    I get what you’re saying but Burnes could have also said no comment or any contract talks goes through my agent, something to that effect.

    Yeah the fact that he went out of his way to say the Brewers haven’t even approached him yet suggests to me that he’s at least a little miffed with the front office. This front office has been fantastic overall the past 5+ years but there seems to be a disconnect between them and the players this year for whatever reason.

    Wow that’s unbelievable. I agree that he probably starts 2023 in Appleton but that is pretty cool that we get another week to watch him.

    The Mitchell call up is a nice story but I really wish they would have given Ruiz more play when he was up. It’s going to be fascinating to see what they end up doing with all of these outfielders in the offseason and who makes the opening day roster.

    On paper, the Brewers should have this game well in hand before Packers kickoff. The key word is “should” though.

    No more Jackson Chourio in 2022 as the Timber Rattler’s final game has been rained out. What a great season it was!

    Through 32 games in AAA, which is no small sample at this point, Sal Frelick has a ridiculous .438 OBP!

    If we don’t score a boatload of runs against Chase Anderson, then I give up.

    Can Stearns please find some damn players in the offseason who can hit LH pitching? This is beyond ridiculous at this point.

    Yeah Woody and Burnes have been pretty consistently good all year but other than that, the starting rotation has been a disappointment.

    Top 100 prospect. With his defense behind the plate, there’s no question in my mind he should be a top 100 prospect at season’s end.

    Chourio struggling just a little bit to close out an absolutely fantastic year. Few more games to go but already can’t wait to see a refreshed, one year older version of Chourio in 2023.

    91 pitches is getting up there but Woodruff was cruising and this bullpen is a pile of crap. No need to get cute there, CC.
