  1. This has been one of the more painful seasons that I can remember. 2014 was brutal too but this year has been one giant kick to the nuts after another.
  2. I love Counsell but he has seemingly pushed all the wrong buttons this year. Doesn’t help that the bullpen sucks.
  3. The Marlins were 5 games under .500 heading into the all-star break. They are now 27 games under .500. That is a bad stretch of baseball right there.
  4. The Marlins have some pretty good pitchers but their offense appears to be pretty dreadful. We’ll probably see some low scoring games throughout this series.
  5. Frelick ends his regular season by extending his on base streak with a couple of hits including a double and RBI. Gasser wasn’t so great today.
  6. That’s assuming they actually give all the youngsters a chance to play. I remain skeptical.
  7. Between the injuries, ineffective play in the 2nd half, and questionable moves at the deadline, it just wasn’t our year.
  8. How can you not be super excited about Wiemer’s stint in Nashville? He’s really done it all - hit for power, walked more, cut down on the strikeouts, and played great defense as usual.
  9. Yeah I was definitely going through some Frelick withdrawals!
  10. You could have Frelick and Mitchell start along with Renfroe and then have Ruiz be the 4th outfielder. Trade Taylor in the offseason and have Wiemer start the year in Nashville.
  11. Hopefully Frelick and Wiemer are back before the season ends. That would be a shame.
  12. Yelich is back to being a lazy groundout to the right side machine. He has provided next to nothing here in September. No power. Just really depressing.
  13. Yelich is back to being a lazy groundout to the right side machine. He has provided next to nothing here in September. No power. Just really depressing.
  14. That probably does it for this year and what’s worse is we’ll probably have to watch the Cardinals celebrate a division clincher in Milwaukee. That’ll be a real kick to the nether regions.
  15. Two years in a row. Stearns should never be allowed to acquire relievers at the deadline again.
  16. Yeah that might be it for 2022 if the Padres and Phillies both hang on and win today.
  17. When is Counsell going to stop giving Boxberger high leverage innings? He has been awful in the 2nd half.
  18. No Frelick again in today’s lineup. Must be a little banged up.
  19. I think the Rangers could be one of those teams this offseason who will be desperate to go for it and they have a pretty good system. Seems like a good match between the two teams. That being said, I would love to get my hands on some of Baltimore’s top prospects. Or the Dodgers.
