  1. Yes. I can't really put off studying abroad another year due to curriculum. I suppose I could RA the following year, but I'd no longer be a resident, and I'm not sure I'd want to do it anymore.
  2. As you may know, I'm a 20 year old college student, just transfered to UW-Madison (college #3 already). Next year I have two options: Study Abroad for a semester or RA at private dorms. I can't do both, because they won't hire me to RA for just one semester. As an RA, I get paid to live there. Study abroad I get to travel but pay double living expenses and tutition. Just wondering if anyone had any insight into my decision. I have a feeling about which one will be recommended...
  3. Looks familiar.
  4. I would hate 3 cent pieces. The math would suck. 2 cent pennies I can do.
  5. Harry gets the suitcase all the way into the lake, and they never discover the money. With nothing to give to Mary, Lloyd and Harry are left with nothing, join the army, and die in combat. Fletcher doesn't make it to the airport in time, Max and Audrey move to Boston, and all parties are miserable for the rest of their lives.
  6. I think Ned is going to look a lot better this season with the lack of platoons and wide variety of veteran bullpen arms that can get the job done.
  7. You mean Dwight and Ken. I still find that amazing.
  8. It's going to be hard to get him a shot with the Brewers, I would say. As (hopefully) contendors for the next few seasons, it'll be hard to give a guy with backend of the rotation potential even the #6 or 7 SP spot.
  9. That'll work good enough Russ. I want to say I got a single formula to spit out YES correctly, but I deleted it because of the LOOKUP returning an error problem. But screw it, that's plenty good. Thanks.
  10. I disagree with the "pony it up" theory. You go after what the market undervalues, and get by elsewhere. At least as a small market team.
  11. The announce starting pitcher has to face at least one batter, or something like that. So I believe pinch hitting for the pitcher in the 1st inning is against the rules.
  12. I might later today. Let's try this, this is what I want: A B C 1 1935 Jeff YES 2 1935 Mike YES 3 1935 Kyle YES 4 1934 Jeff YES 5 1934 Mike YES 6 1934 Bill NO 7 1933 Jeff YES 8 1933 Kyle YES 9 1933 Bill NO Obviously the real list is much longer (~2000 rows currently, and will be updated every few weeks), but that's it in general, a name and a year. It'd be possible to do it manually with auto sort, but I'd much prefer a quick forumula. So if a name is listed next to the max year, I want the cell next to that name to display yes everytime that name appears. Is that a little clearer?
  13. HILARIOUS!
  14. I might later today.
  15. Do you have a name, doggie? I sure hope you find a home.
  16. Correct. But the problem is colum D has duplicate values as well. So if A3 contains the max value in the colum, and D3="Jeff" And A4 doesn't contain the max value in the colum, but D4="Jeff" I want both E3 and E4 to display "yes".
  17. Actually, I'm dumb, I don't need all that criteria. I just need cell E3 to... find all cells in colum D that equal D3, and if in any of those rows the value in cell A is the max in colum A, then cell E3 should say "YES".
  18. 9. Cast Away (so i can learn how to make fire and stuff) HA! How about Suvivorman DVDs...
  19. When I say AX, for example, I mean any cell in A3:A100. So in cell E3, I want it to look at all rows where the B, C, and D equals the contents of B3, C3, and D3. And if in any of those rows, the number in cell A is the max in that colum, then output "YES" in E3. I'm assuming your forumla doesn't do that, by looking at it.
  20. Well, I didn't think my design was all that busy, but I'm not a professional (obviously). I still plan on making a general baseball one, I just haven't thought of a good design yet and I'm busy for the rest of the week. Maybe sometime on Sunday. As is, I think it might be my favorite. But it still has a two color bat, shading on the glove, a cartoony hotdog, shading on the baseballs... I think it would look better minimalized. Just one guy's opinion though.
  21. I think Dave's brought some serious competition to Joe's designs. Excellent!
  22. In no particular order... American Movie Dumb and Dumber Liar Liar Old School Beatles Anthology Star Wars II-VI Man, I left out Super Troopers and Anchorman... EDIT: And Pi! I liked that movie.
  23. I'm trying to write a formula... I want cell E3 to display "YES" when... ...cell AX contains the max number in the A colum when also BX=B3, C3=CX, and D3=DX else, E3 displays "NO" It seems like it be some type of LOOKUP statement with multiple criteria (which I'm struggling to accomplish) set to equal the MAX in colum A as my "test" equation in my IF statement. But I am struggling. Let me know if you might be able to help. And let me know if you think you could help yet what I wrote seems to be incoherent, maybe I can clarify somehow.
  24. Ture. Italians didn't used to be considered "white". Irish or Spanish either. Now Hispanics are beginning to get phased into "white", IMO. Where will it end!! But let's talk baseball...
  25. I click on page two to read the most recent posts... This thread is waaay off-topic.
