  1. angel perdomo has been sent to minor league camp.
  2. c payton henry, rhp zack brown, rhp bubba derby, rhp jon olczak and lhp angel perdomo have been sent to minor league camp. the club has 11 non-roster invitees remaining in camp.
  3. marcos diplan (could burn second option), trey supak (could burn first of three options) and aaron wilkerson (could burn second option) have all been optioned to the minor leagues. any of these players will burn their options if they spend more than 20 days optioned in 2019.
  4. Seems crazy that it applies to ST games. There are a lot of minor leaguers that mop up the end of these games. I would assume it's because he's currently on the 40 man. And this wouldn't apply to any random A-baller who happens to get into a big league game. correct. any player on the 40-man injured in a major league game would be entitled to be placed on the major league injured list.
  5. sedar is away from the club right now due to a family illness.
  6. because the injury happened in a major league game, wahl cannot be optioned and will have to be placed on the injured list. because the 40-man is currently full, he could be placed on the 60-day injured list.
  7. i saw sedar coaching third last week.
  8. this is incorrect. when a player is granted a fourth option, it is good only for that season, regardless of how it is used. thus, junior guerra enters 2019 spring training with no minor league options remaining.
  9. i was impressed. i was there tuesday and yesterday. the weight room is visible from across the agility field. it's massive. and the new scoreboard is very nice.
  10. 2019 brewers media guide confirms two options remaining for petricka.
  11. the 2019 brewers media guide states that jake petricka has two minor league options remaining. however, it also states that junior guerra is out of options. if a player on a fourth option is optioned (regardless of length of time optioned), does he burn that fourth option? guerra was certainly down less than 20 days, so under normal circumstances, he shouldn't have burned an option in 2018.
  12. the signing of mike moustakas is official. to make room on the 40-man roster, brent suter has been placed on the 60-day injured list. the 40-man roster remains at capacity.
  13. it should be noted that the 40-man roster is currently full. the brewers could opt to place brent suter on the 60-day injured list to open up a roster spot for moustakas.
  14. it appears that jay jackson has all three of his minor league options intact.
  15. rhp jay jackson becomes the 16th non-roster invitee in big league camp.
  16. jay jackson signed to a minor league deal and will be competing for a bullpen spot. there are now 16 non-roster invitees in camp.
  17. jake petricka is missing from the list. it's been reported as one left, but i fail to see how he burned his second option.
  18. adrian houser was granted a fourth option.
  19. injuries come into play in these situations. had he not vomited on the mound last season, the fourth option would not have been granted.
  20. if he's optioned, consider adrian houser a candidate . . .
  21. the brewers were granted a fourth option on adrian houser.
  22. add josh tomlin to the mix . . .
  23. josh tomlin appears to have two minor league options left, but has spent time optioned to the minor leagues during three different seasons. he appears to have enough major league service time to refuse the optional assignment, which would void his contract and make him a free agent. he is the 15th non-roster invitee in 2019 camp.
  24. reports that josh tomlin linked a minor league deal with an invite to big league camp. once official, that brings the number of non-roster invitees to 15.
  25. If you get both, then two have to go currently on the 40 man roster...who are the two we essentially trade for less than top value or outright release for nothing? not necessarily. the brewers could sign keuchel to a minor league deal with a ridiculous guaranteed salary, or a modest deal with a buyout higher than his negotiated salary if he's not on the major league roster or major league disabled list at the end of camp. this would all but force the club's hand to add keuchel to the 40-man roster before rosters are set. the brewers won't break camp with four catchers on their 40-man. brent suter is a likely candidate for the 60-day disabled list. spots will open up.
