  1. Yeah I am freaking out. My heart feels like I just got off the treadmill after running 3 miles. I have gotten abslutely nothing accomplished at work today. Nothing.
  2. That thing is going to give people siezures
  3. Today is going to be a long day with next to nothing accomplished at work. Please don't ruin my weekend Brewers. I know I shouldn't fixate on a sports team so much but seriously if you lose my weekend is probably shot. I know we are at home with Yo pitching but I can't make myself confident. All along I thought we had the better team but the way they annhilated us in ARI has me very nervous.
  4. I think there is almost no chance that Rickie doesn't start every game. He has looked pretty pathetic but he also has the potential to be a game changer with his power; something that can't be said for Hairston. Rickie & Nyjer have been very frustrating to watch so for this postseason. It seems all the other guys have been much more frequent contributors. Prince and Braun have been on base constantly this series and so far Rickie has failed miserably at getting those guys in. That #5 spot in the order must have some sort of curse on it
  5. Miller Park definitely will be crazy. Sometimes I believe in momentum sometimes I don't. The Crew was riding high going into ARI and that momentum lasted all of 2 outs before it was squashes. In-game momentum is much more real to me than his game to game momentum. Thats why Yo going out in the 1st and shutting them down is going to be key. I am stuck at work until 5 so it will be Gameday up until then. Hopefully when I get home I can watch the Crew cruise to a nice win and then I can watch STL and PHI duke it out for the chance to play us. There is a certain appeal to STL winning because we would probably get to face Kyle Lohse and Jaime Garcia at home in Games #1 & #2. I like the Brewers chances against those guys. Otherwise it is Lee & Hamels on the road in PHI
  6. Hairston has been great in this series. I doubt McGehee could have outperformed him. It was great to see him get that hit; we need him to do that again if we want to advance further
  7. My anxiety meter is through the roof. Its not like I was just assuming that they would sweep the Dbacks but I thought they would put up a better showing on the road. Gallardo>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wolf/Marcum but Gallardo can have the occasional blow up game. I am not expecting to score 4+ runs off of Kennedy so Gallardo better be on his game. I just hope Miller Park is rocking and the Crew can grab an early lead so they can relax a bit. I don't think they will press from the get go but they will if they fall behind again. The Dbacks and Brewers seem to be mirror images of each other; both awesome at home and both can pitch or RISP on the road to save their lives. I suppose that bodes well for the Brewers. If the Brewers do lose I can almost gaurantee myself that I will not watch another minute of baseball the rest of the year; way to painful
  8. And of course they pull one down the line and hit it out Figures
  9. At least we are still within striking distance with 3 innings still to go. Having to go through Hernandez and Putz will be awfully tough though
  10. I am certianly not thrilled with having to face Kennedy again. Granted it will be at home but the guy has been amazing and is certainly capable of shutting us down. I love Gallardo but he can also be pretty bad at times and there will be a good amount of pressure on the Brewers to not choke away the series
  11. The performances of Grienke, Marcum, and Wolf really have been pretty incredible. I mean when the Brewers were in the middle of that hot streak I would bet the starters gave up 18 runs over the span of 6 games; in the playoffs they have given up that many runs in like 10 innings.
  12. Wolf is freakin pathetic; obviously RR was trying to get him through the 3rd so he could pinch hit in the 9th spot rather than have Estrada hit. Wolf had to get frickin Cowgill and couldn't do it
  13. Gotta get at least one more here; but gotta be greedy with Prince coming up
  14. Score a run or two here; then put in Estrada for 2-3 innings. Saunders isn't fooling anybody either
  15. Come on Rickie, anything but a double play there. Saunders looks like crap today so far at least
  16. Morgan has done next to nothing in the playoffs thus far; I think Gomez will be fine. I am trying to convince myself that I am confident but I just can't do it after last nights debacle. If Wolf can go 6 with 4 or less runs I am guessing we win; just please don't fall behind by a couple runs early again
  17. I much would much rather save Gallardo for a must win game at home than pitch him on short rest on the road in a game the Brewers are perfectly capable of winning without him. And RR has to consider the possibility of Gallardo only pitching once in the NLCS if they make it that far if he pitches today. Wolf is more than capable of having a really good game; the key obviously is trying to avoid damage against Upton and Goldschmidt. Those are the only two guys I am really scared of. Treat those two guys like the D-Backs should treat Braun & Fielder. It will be interesting to see what Gibson does with Parra & Montero with a lefty going tonight; if he benches them for Blanco and Cowgill that is decent drop in talent even when considering L/R splits. Wolf did pitch rather poorly against ARI in two starts this year; that scares me a little bit as does the layoff he has had. I would still rather save Gallardo for a do or die game though.
  18. I am confident that Wolf CAN win today; but not sure that he will. As long as the Dbacks don't pitch Collmenter on 0 days rest we have a chance. Wolf just can't come out and put us in an early hole again like Marcum did yesterday. It will probably all depend on what kind of strike zone Wolf is going to get
