  1. I don't know where my tickets are and frankly I don't really care. I will be at the first home playoff game in nearly 3 decades.
  2. I would appreciate a repeat of the Hamels game at Milwaukee earlier this year. In fact that is the only time we have beaten the Phillies. The Phils haven't faced CC or Gallardo and they may have to face those 2 guys 4 times in a 5 game series. I like our chances. Plus the last time we were in Philly that was pretty much the lowest of the low. hopefully the Phils get a little overconfident since they did annhilate us a couple weeks ago
  3. Oops, forgot about Parra. I don't know if he is a guy I want to count on to get an important lefty out however. But he did pitch very well on Friday.
  4. The only reason people think Coffey could be on his because Ken Rosenthal said he would be on the roster. So Rosenthal could turn out to be an idiot how got my hopes up. I would prefer Coffey to be on the roster, no doubt about it. I think we need 2 lefties out of the pen, so Stetter might have a chance, but I really don't know who they would leave off of the roster. There isn't an obvious choice. If Coffey doesn't qaulify I would add Stetter.
  5. I would go Bush, CC, Gallardo, Bush, CC I wouldn't mind Gallardo going game 1 but I am going to Game 3 and I would rather watch Gallardo Myers has been getting roughed up lately so Game 2 would seem to be a major advantage to the Brewers. Hamels is tough for sure, Game 1 will be an uphill battle no matter who we throw out there
  6. I'll agree that Sabathia has a better shot at MVP. He will be under serious consideration for both but I think Pujols/Howard get the MVP and Lincecum get the CY Young. No one has meant more than CC but voters might not use that as criteria
  7. If Wednesday and Thursday are day games I am going to be so mad. I don't think I can get off of work to watch them.
  8. I am not saying that they will put him in the dugout or anything but do you think they will atleast pick up a box for him? After Svuem and Braun both thanked Ned for everything he did I was thinking they might pick up the tab so he can follow the Crew in the playoffs. IMO I think they should invite him. He doesn't need any contact with the team and the way he gracefully stepped aside I think he would loev the opportunity to cheer on the team in person.
  9. If he would sign for 5 years and $20M a year I would do it in a heartbeat. Sadly that won't get it done unless CC really does like Milwaukee that much
  10. Hart has been awful but do we really have any other options. Obviously Gwynn would be fine playing right but he has no offensive potential at all. As bas as Hart is right now is still a much better offensive option than Gwynn. Man do I wish Kapler could play.
  11. I just listened to it 10 consecutive time. That is one of those calls that you won't forget. The crowd noise was unbelievable
  12. I can't believe there is 4.5 more hours until gametime. This wait has been excrutiating. I am confident we will win, I just hope the Marlins cooperate. God I hope Perez just flames out under the pressure today.
  13. I think the best option would be to catch a flight to Philly but that is just me.
  14. I am also terrified yet optimistic. Wee are throwing CC going against the Cubs B Reliever and the Mets have Oliver Perex who can be be just awfukl going against Scott Olsen who can be awesome. The key will be to jumo put to an early lead. If we fall behind I might fall apart. The Mets game will have a 3 inning head start on us so hopefully the Marlins can do to Perez what they did to Glavine on the last day last year.
  15. Santana is pitching a heck of a game. If we win today it makes this kind of a wasted effort since they have another must win tommorrow with a much less reliable pitcher
  16. I don't like 10 pitch innings. Santana will probably come out for the 8th. 98 pitches
  17. I don't think Santana is going to hold up to much longer without giving up any runs. The Fish will get at least 2 innings of the Mets bullpen
  18. Santana certianly seems like he is running out of gas. This is a huge spot for Baker
  19. Just stay within striking distance once you reach the bullpen, that is all I ask of you Mr. Nolasko
  20. I wonder if Balfour could have turned it around in Milwaukee. I think probably not so this was a pretty good trade for both teams. Seth has had some bad stretches but it looks like he has figured it out. I think it would be best to keep him the bullpen so you he doesn't need to hold back his fastball to make it through 5-6 innings. The Cubs practically had no chance against him last night he was so good. I think you take away some effectiveness if you make him throw 6 innings
  21. It would probably be Salome http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. I am somewhat suprised that Santana's career high in pitches is only 125. This should be a pretty darn good game. I can't imagine that Manuel would allow Santana to throw another 125 pitches today. Who are they going to pitch tommorrow if they need a win? Oliver Perez?
  23. ESPN with Charter has been on the fritz since 1030 PM yesterday so I was unable to watch any highlights shows showing the awesomeness that is the Brewers and if it isn't fixed soon I could miss some college football. They better get it fixed soon.
  24. I hope SeriesFinale started watching games again. No Brewer fan can afford to miss this.
  25. I will forgive everything Ben has ever done if he goes out tommorrow and throws a gem. By the time the game starts we very well may know if we can clinch tommorrow. How many hours are left?
