  1. I gotta believe their is something we don't know. Perhaps he lost the team or had some verbal confrontations. It just doesn't make any sense at all. If the Brewers crappy play of late is the only reason that is pretty lame to me. Ned couldn't go out and hit for the guys.
  2. I am suprised. I was expecting Yost to get fired but it is pretty crappy to do it with 12 games left, what do they hope to accomplish? And Dale Svuem are you serious? The guy doesn't use a whole lot of logic at 3rd base when he is sending guys to get thrown out at home by 20 feet. Every other coach we have would have been a better option IMO. I will hope and pray that this knocks some sense into the team and realize that they might have just cost a guy his livelihood
  3. That trade has still been worth it. CC has done everything we asked of him and then some. If we didn't have CC right now we would probably be atleast 2-3 games back of the wildcard. CC can't make our hitters take a few pitches every once in a while.
  4. I fail to see how credit unions are any better than a bank. Customer owned is a huge crock of you know what. I have seen how they treat their "owners" and they can be much harsher than a bank (especially commercial customers). If you want good customer service try to find a locally owned bank, there are plenty of them out there. But if you want the best rates (at least on the deposit side) you pretty much have to look at the larger banks. In this environment small banks can compete in the loan rate environment, but they are behind in depository rates. Don't believe the credit union schtick, they are essentially banks with less regulatory pressures and less capabilities with worse customer service. They try to get you in the door and once they do you are completely forgotten.
  5. I am almost to the point where I just want them to lose and get it over with because it seems inevitable at this point.
  6. At this point I would totally go for Hardy and Fielder for Lincecum + a prospect I just can't envision a scenario where Hardy and Escobar are on the field at the same time
  7. Moyer is pitching on 3 days rest for the first time in 2 years. Lets hope he gets screwed up.
  8. We have a 50/50 chance of winning!! I like those odds
  9. I think they were brought up to be shown how to play in a pennant race. O wait.... Their might be something to the overall mindset of some of the established guys. They could be thinking, "well this guy might have my job next year" then they put to much pressure on themselves and then choke
  10. Yost is yost, he simply isn't going to air dirty laundry to the media. It has never happened and it never will. I am fairly confident that Yost will rip into guys in private, at least I hope. Fiery managers tend to fire up a fan base and that is about it. Yost certainly doesn't help the situation though with his "I hate the media, this is a waste of my time, unless we are winning" attitude.
  11. Yeah at this point there really is no reason to pitch to Braun. Fielder can't hit a fastball right down the middle right now. I can't believe how many hittable pitches Prince is missing right now. Very rarely are any of his outs even hit hard. Hart isn't doing much better. I just hope our entire offense breaks out of this funk all at once
  12. I will be very happy with 2-2 but it won't be the end of the world if it is 1-3. 0-4 would suck. I'll agree that tonight is a huge game since it is our best pitching matchup and could get the Crew a little confidence. Maybe they just need to get on the road again, there is less pressure on them. I am worried about Moyer tonight though. He is a lefty but offspeed pitchers absolutely kill us. We have to start hitting the ball to the opposite field but those hits seem to come very seldom lately. The Phils have a hell of a lineup, we can't expect to win any of the games 2-1 or 3-2, it just isn't going to happen.
  13. I am confused by this comment. I thought I implied that the Astros pitchers pretty much suck but are pitching well right now and that I hope Wade brings tham back next year because they will probably suck again? I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that sucky pitchers can go on a 2 month hot streak so I think the Astros pitching could hold up this year but sooner or later (hopefully sooner) they will start to suck again
  14. Houston has played very well, they seem to be doing it with smoke and mirrors but they are getting the job done. Their pitching was god awful but somehow those same pitchers are all of a sudden good. I just hope Wade thinks these same pitchers will duplicate their 2nd halves next year, because they will most likely not be able to duplicate this.
  15. At this point all the Brewers want it is the playoffs. and CC and Sheets in a playoff series gives us a chance no matter who inept our offense is. We didn't sell our souls either, we still have plenty of talent on the roster afte CC departs
  16. The flowers below the ledge are safe for now
  17. I would have rather put someone up their who has a chance of actually getting a hit We better trade for somebody then, because nobody on this team is getting hits with guys in scoring position. I would have pinch hit Parra
  18. I would have rather put someone up their who has a chance of actually getting a hit
  19. We are still going to figure out a way to lose. I am calling a Fielder error. (I don't really mean that, but you know all of us think that right now)
  20. I thought Gwynn was suppose to be fast and stay out of the DP. So if he isn't fast he is essentially worthless correct? EDIT: THANK YOU JEBUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. If we don't score here I am going to jump out of my 3rd story window. So I love you guys if you never hear from me again
  22. Like Fielder and Gwynn would get a hit anways. Yost better pinch hit for Gwynn if he comes up this inning
  23. Come on Brad, hit your first HR and solidy your position as the 1st basemen of the future!!!!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
