  1. This is a joke EDIT: There is no way McClung makes it out of this inning alive
  2. Come on, I double dog dare you to walk Hardy. Are you chicken?
  3. Braun is essentially worthless right now. Durham was clutch there, Bush was just an idiot and didn't score on a freaking double EDIT: Hart is also worthless
  4. Jeez Ryan, you are being pretty pathetic right now
  5. How is that even possible? How do you not score on a double when you are at 2nd. You can still go half way Dave!!!!
  6. Quick Question: Is there a setting where I can automatically stay in topic after I post rather than having to check the "Stay in Topic" button on every post? I forget to check it all the time.
  7. If the throw to 2nd was in the dirst shouldn't there be an error somewhere?
  8. This is promising, come on get a clutch hit, get the pitch count soaring!!!!!!!
  9. What the heck just happened? Did they try to get Cam at home?
  10. Well we are getting his pitch count up, so that is a positive even if we don't score here
  11. It would be great if tis game proved to be the game where Rich Harden returns to being the normal Rich Harden. You know, the broken one. Its only fair that if Sheets gets hurt so does Harden http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  12. I hope that they don't look at injury history when they decide if it is a class A FA OR Class B FA...The two picks aren't even guaranteed at this point. If Sheets needs surgery we are pretty much screwed because Sheets might actually accept arbitration since he realizes the demand for him if he needs surgery is pretty limited.
  13. Will the Brewers even end up offering him arbitration if he ends up needing surgery and miss most of if not all of 2009? I can't imagine Doug would take the risk of Ben accepting arbitration. This injury could cost us a couple draft picks. In arby you can't offer less than 30% of his current salary correct?
  14. People that go 24 MPH in an 25MPH zone. In a 25MPH zone you should be going 30 MPH. Maybe I am just impatient.
  15. I think the Sheets injury may force the Brewers hand. He was suppose to pitch another bullpen on Friday correct? Any chance they forego that and just bring him up for bullpen/piggyback duty? He is eligible for the playoff roster correct?
  16. I watch the Food Network way to much. DDD, Iron Chef, Good eats, etc. It is probably in my Top 5 most viewed channels. I would imagine HD on the Food Network would be pretty freakin sweet
  17. I usually start swearing profusely if something goes against the Packers or Brewers. I don't know what I'll do once I have kids.
  18. He was brought in specifically to pitch to a lefty, but Pinella brought Hank the Blank in to pinch hit immediately after Shouse came on. I could be mistaken, but I think the rule is that if a new pitcher is brought in, the opposing team can pinch hit, but you can't bring in a different pitcher.Even so Svuem should have known that Pinella was not going to let Ward face Shouse. It came down to CV vs Ward or Shouse vs. a right PH. The logical choice would have been to just leave CV in there
  19. I don't think batting Cameron could be more outside the box. "Inside the Box" Managers wouldn't even think about Cameran hitting leadoff. He has virtually no qualities of a lead off hitter.
  20. Do we have even a good lead off hitter anyways? Durham would probably be the only other option with the players in the lineup today. I don't think thier is much of a difference between Cameron/Durham and Durham/Cameron. Svuem might think Cam might be the best of a horrible bunch of options.
  21. They should just ahve him throw a bullpen session today and have him go on Thursday for Parra. Even if he can only go 70 pitches he probably gives us a better chance to win that Parra does at this point. Manny is just completely messed up at this point. But I also will be happy if he can be our 8th inning guy. Or perhaps you could go 2 innings 3 times a week?
  22. I would also think that the Brewers job would be one of if not the job to get this offseason. Despite the fact that CC and Sheets will be gone, their is still a ton of talent here, not to mention the money Doug will have able to spend in the offseason. I would think any manager would love to come here, a good team, an owner who will spend money, and a pretty good fan base. I will strongly disagree with anyone who thinks we will suck next year. Without CC and Sheets we are worse, but add Gallardo and a likely starter through FA or trade and we could still be very good next year IF the young position players can get their act together for an entire year.
  23. For the love of God, just win you pathetic losers. the Crew is the suckiest bunch of sucks that have ever sucked. What are the odds we get atleast 4 runs off of Dempster? I'll put the odds at 4:1. I will be very curious to see what kind of lineup Svuem throws out there. Durham better be in their but I don't know what to do after that. Perhaps: Durham Hardy Hart Fielder Braun Cameron Hall/Counsell Kendall CC I certainly think Hart could benefit from some protection. I don't think Prince or Braun need protection. If they aren't hitting they aren't hitting doesn't matter who is behind them. Both have seen plenty of hittable pitches of late. CC should be on a strict 150 pitch pitch count tonight. I swear if we have a lead I would simply not take him out of the game before the 9th inning. If he is getting pounded that is one thing, but we need to win games and going to our bullpen with a small lead is not going to win games.
  24. no kidding. I am very worried about my retirement portfolio right now--and it's really only in it's infancy right now. I wouldn't worry about it. My 401K is still young and atleast now I am buying into these mutual funds at a pretty low price, no where to go but up right?. I was freaking out for a while but this is only a short term issue and probably won't effect my retirement in 30 years. If I was 55 and this was happening I would absolutely be freaking out. I mean you could have lost 20%+ of you retirement savings in the span of 8 months. I think my porfolio is down something like 17% which is actually beating the market as weird as it sounds.
