  1. The good news is that through 4ish games our pitching looks outstanding. The bad new is that our offense looks awful and both Braun & Segura seem to have injuries that are affecting them. Plus Overbay and Reynolds both suck.
  2. I think Big Bang Theory has gotten better over time; just don't watch TBS because they beat that show to death. It is still entertaining if you stick to the new episodes. I used to love Parks and Rec but it lost me late last season. I personally think 2 Broke Girls is hilarious; but perhaps I am in the minority there.
  3. We have come this far I might as well make some homer picks Florida 67 UConn 61 Wisconsin 64 Kentucky 57 Wisconsin 71 Florida 65 Why not?
  4. The Astros have also been truly awful for 3 years now; is it really worth it to be bad for that long only to have the chance to develop really good players. I don't think I want to relive the 2004 Brewers all over again until 2018.
  5. We probably would be pretty good if it was a 30 and under list. I would still rather have this organization as is than the Astros for example.
  6. The ending was basically a Cop Out. The entire series was basically pointless and the Final Season was devoted entirely to Robin & Barney's wedding and how much they love each other only to find out they got divorced. LAME.
  7. It is not like our team is full of 35 year old has beens either. Our MLB team is still fairly young; just not under 25 young. Plus a lot of them will be around for a long time yet putting less emphasis on the farm system as it stands today. Obviously the Brewers have some work to do to improve the talent in MILB but this isn't some sort of doomsday for Milwaukee. The Brewers have a solid team in Milwaukee that likely won't need a ton of MILB talent to stay competitive in the near future. But we do really need a 3B and 1B prospect for sure.
  8. He is the best player on the team; he served his suspension, and its opening day. What did people expect. The standing ovation wasn't condoning his lying and whatnot; people are just excited to have him back. The national media that was so taken aback by the cheering just needs to get over Braun already. Move on. I mean did they cover how all the other suspended guys were cheered/booed? I know Braun gets extra attention and all but jeez the media needs to get off of their moral high horses and stop trying to tell fans how they are supposed to feel.
  9. Martin is now out for Marquette as well. It appears to be Wojo at this point. As far as I know Wojo has no Midwest of WI connections; curious to see how he would do on the recruiting trail. Specifically regarding Stone and Ellenson in the 2015 recruiting class. Also I wonder if WI's run may make it easier to convince Stone or Ellenson to stay in school. Both of those guys look like they would fit in perfectly at UW. Both can hit an outside shot and in general are multi dimensional.
  10. Scooter had a couple hits and Gallardo hit at least 92 on the gun; both of those were nice to see. Smith also had a real nice outing; having a lefty coming out of the pen throwing 95 will come in handy this year.
  11. Well Krod you expect him to be throwing that hard. If Henderson's velocity is down then there is probably something physically wrong.
  12. Smith hitting 95 on the gun. Pretty nice stuff and a nice return for 1 year of Aoki.
  13. Just looking at ATL's lineup and pitching staff; this team looks entirely mediocre. I know they have had some pitching injuries but even the lineup shouldn't strike fear in anyone. I would be surprised if they can hang with the Nationals.
  14. nice article on hardballtalk bashing national writers who were disappointed that Braun got a standing O and meaning like everyone in MIL somehow advocates cheating. Hello people Braun is the best player on the team; he apologized, and everyone is ready to move on except the media. Get over it.
  15. That seems like a pretty over the top conclusion. That type of play happens every day; it was a lineout and the first instinct when you see a hard hit ball is to take a couple steps. If you are blaming RR for something like that then you are just trying to find stuff to blame him for.
  16. Gallardo hit 92 on the gun the first inning. Not too bad but I am hoping he eventually can get back up to 93 or maybe 94. Couldn't get the curveball over.
  17. I might be the biggest Denson fanboy here so I am super excited he is at least starting in Appleton. Hopefully he plays well enough to warrant staying even after short season opens. Appleton doesn't look to have a whole lot of star power and fun prospects to watch this year but Denson is certainly one to follow.
  18. Really looking forward to hopefully a breakout year from Lopez. He has the stuff to do it.
  19. I don't know if I could handle Wojo as the Marquette coach. I always hated him as a player and generally think of him as a giant turd. That being said most major college head coaches probably are giant turds already. I want UW to win so badly partly because I despise Calipari so much. Nothing bad to see about Donovan or Ollie.
  20. Wiggins is expected to declare today; as is Aaron Gordon. Gordon shouldn't be on the Bucks radar thought. With Embiid also projected to declare the last missing piece is Parker. If Parker declares the Bucks are guaranteed to get a really nice high upside player no matter if they get the 1st or 4th pick.
  21. The biggest question mark probably will be dribble penetration. If the Harrison twins get in the lane it could be a long day. Kentucky has been shooting better in the tournament but they are simply not a very good outside shooting team. Dekker on Randle will be an issue; but we also have to give credit to Dekker and UW in general for completing shutting down Gordon of AZ. Similar athletes although Randle is bigger. I was expecting Kentucky to be a slight favorite. It should be a pretty solid game that I think could go either way. Kentucky has been playing great and making all the tough shots at the end. I really think UW has got a decent shot; most people will probably be picking Kentucky though. I don't think Kentucky is any more athletic than Arizona was. And I know everyone will say it but I would like to think Bo and his veteran team that plays tough defense will makes things difficult on Kentucky. Kentucky isn't even in the same stratosphere defensively as Arizona. Especially if Cauley Stein doesn't play
  22. Super pumped. Even though I am not at the game and can't even watch it; I still enjoy having the game on at work as a diversion. Here is hoping today is that start of a really fun year.
  23. UConn is fine; if rooting for the underdog it is probably WI. WI can certainly win the whole thing; Kentucky is a tough team but certainly a beatable team. They have made every shot they have needed to make late in games here. Hopefully that luck runs out. Badgers get the late game on Saturday night as well. Hopefully UW can win in the Jerry dome just like the Packers did
