  1. If Hammond trades and doesn't get a 2014 or 2015 pick back in return I would lose it.
  2. Ugh in my two big pools I ended up with Creighton in one and Oregon in the other. I love WI but I am really torn.
  3. I mean you can't even use again after you steal it anyways can you? It won't stick worth a lick.
  4. There seems to be no middle ground for Wisconsin according to the pundits. A couple have picked them going to the Final 4 and a couple have them losing to Oregon in the 2nd round. I just can't see them basically losing a home game to a team that doesn't play defense. Yes their offense is very versatile and they can all score; doesn't that sound exactly like UW? Defense carries UW. As for Creighton that is a very winnable game which would come down to both teams' ability to hit 3's. They both shoot a ton of them. I like UW simply because we have more weapons but Dougy McBuckets is a stud. Keep him under 25 and we probably win. Beating Arizona would be really tough but I am not so sure they make it that far. Okie St in the 2nd round will be a tough games and they better not sleep on SDSU either. Overall I think UW ended up in the easiest region. Wichita St's region is the region of doom. Just stud teams everywhere. For now I will go with Florida, Michigan State, WI, and Louisville. Michigan St and Florida seem like almost no brainers and Louisville is playing very well right now
  5. Everyone seems to be speaking highly of Oregon but I just can't seem UW not making it to the Sweet 16. Creighton would be an interesting match should they get that far. I think I would be pretty confident in that game
  6. Unless Uw end up a #1 I see almost no way they aren't in MIL. The committee would probably drop them to a #3 if they had to just to let them be in MIL. They have earned it.
  7. The next 3 days of Bball are really a blast; just a ton of good matchups everywhere. As far as the UW-MN game; Minnesota is fighting for the tourney lives so I would expect this to be a pretty tight game. Minnesota is probably in if they win. Even the Badgers lose they are probably still a #2. That being said I still think UW comes out on top. Syracuse has been playing terrible lately and I wouldn't expect that to win the ACC tourney. I think realistically if Virginia ran the table they would probably be the 4th #1. Duke I would still not be sure about. Michigan could grab that spot if they make it to the B10 title game.
  8. Well Villanova losing to Seton Hall certainly opens the door for #1 again. I still don't think I care if they are a #1 or #2 though; it all comes down to matchups.
  9. Embiid just sounds like another Greg Oden to me. A big guy with a ridiculous amount of potential but also a guy who has potential to miss a ton of time. If the Bucks end up at #1 or #2 they better take Parker or Wiggins. If they end up at #3 it could get a little tricky picking between Exum and Embiid if he comes out. You might even want to trade down a couple spots at that point; I am sure there will be some team in love with Embiid and willing to give up another 1st rounder.
  10. Of course if Santana doesn't want to be in this position again next year he may have required that ATL agree not to offer him the QO next year before he agreed to sign with them.
  11. If UWGB would have won they were slotted in the 11/12 range. You can't give UWM any higher than a 14. The only team they beat that is worth anything is UWGB.
  12. Wasn't sure where to put this but holy hell Garza has been awful so far in Spring Training. He just gave up 10 hits in less than 2 innings.
  13. Well I would hope the committee wouldn't actually give home court advantage to a 15 seed. I am sure there are rules and regulations in place so that can't happen. I have seen UW in Florida's bracket a lot lately No one has them lower than a #2 right now; but man I would rather be a #2 with Villanova Wichita St, or Arizona than Florida. We should probably be more worried with who the #3 seed is should the Badgers get through Milwaukee to the Sweet 16. Yahoo has our 2nd round game against VCU. I don't know if I would like that match up or not. Jackson would probably turn the ball over like crazy but part of me thinks UW could really mess with "Havoc".
  14. So you have to give up a draft pick and only get 1 year of Santana for $14 Million? Doesn't seem like the best decision in the world for the Braves.
  15. Embiid should be off the board for the Bucks IMO; way to many injury problems have popped up recently. You don't want this to be another Oden/Durant situation. Wiggins had a hell of a game last week against WVU even though the team lost. Hopefully the Bucks get #1 or #2 and get Parker or Wiggins. If not then I am not sure what the back up plan should be; perhaps trade down a couple spots?
  16. It would be nice to know what kind of velocity he is showing this Spring. Gallardo seems to waste a ridiculous amount of pitches like he is afraid to just go after guys. You just can't expect him to ever make it through more than 6 innings.
  17. Get that Nebraska team away from home and it will be entirely different. They absolutely needed that game and UW was already looked into the #2 seed in the B10 tourney. Nebraska should make the tourney but I am not expecting them to win more than a game if they end up as an 11 as I expect them too. Larger problem was getting beat by dribble penetration over and over again. UW will run into a team like that in the NCAA tourney. They are probably locked in as a #2 seed even if those lose on Friday. Maybe they could fall to a #3 but with the number of high quality wins I don't think a loss to Minnesota would drop them a line.
  18. Yahoo actually has them as the 4th #1 seed right now with Villanova and Michigan the Top #2's. They obviously have to beat Nebraska tonight and mostly likely have to win Friday and Saturday in the B10 tourney. To me there really is no difference between having to play a #15 and #2 versus a #16 and #8 so I would much rather just play in Milwaukee. But #15 seeds have beaten #2s before so I wouldn't be complaining if they land a #1.
  19. I do wonder if UWGB is even on the bubble. They have a good win against Virginia but I just can't see them making the tourney now. They have to be pretty disappointed. Hopefully UWM can take the title now. Wichita St will be #1 in the Midwest, Florida #1 in the South and Arizona #1 in the West. We probably want UW to stay a #2 in the Midwest and many bracketologists have UW in the Midwest. I think things are looking pretty good
  20. Well you can probably eliminate Kansas as a #1 with a loss at WVU today. UW might actually have a shot if they can beat Nebraska and make the B10 title game
  21. Its weird. I am definitely a Brewers optimist but when it comes to the Bucks I do a complete 180. I guess I have a lot more faith in Attanasio and Melvin than I do Kohl and Hammond.
  22. Too bad there probably isn't a place for him on the MLB roster for the foreseeable future unless Davis flops. If he stays in MIL he is probably destined as a 4th or 5th OF which is probably wasting his abilities. Can he play 1st
  23. It just sucks that they are so good and will be so good for a long time. What I wouldn't kill for a 70 win season in STL.
  24. Is there really any doubt that the Lakers are going to somehow get the 1st or 2nd pick? It almost seems inevitable to me. NBA would rather have the superstars in LA or PHI than MIL. I imagine the Bucks will be caught by Philly pretty soon as that team has all but given up. They don't even try anymore. I will go out and say Milwaukee ends up with the 4th pick and Hammond does something stupid.
  25. He has better stuff than the other guys he is competing against; his age and experience probably shouldn't matter as much. The bullpen is still such a toss up right now outside of Henderson, Rodriguez, West, and Kintzler. Having two lefties would be pretty nice with both being able to go multiple inning or just get a single lefty out if need be.
